The Recording Academy announced nominations in all 91 categories this year, including Olivia Rodrigo, John Legend, and Machine Gun Kelly. Beyoncé is leading this year's pack of nominees for her "Reignaissance" album, making her the most nominated woman in Grammy history. Kendrick Lamar's "Mr. Morale and the Big Steppers" album has eight nominations, followed by Adele and Brandi Carlile, who tied for seven overall nominations. Taylor Swift, Harry Styles, Doja Cat, Jazmine Sullivan, Mary J. Blige, and Bad Bunny were among the Grammy nominees for the first all-Spanish language project of the year.

The 2022 Grammy Awards on 3 April crowned an eclectic crop of winners. Jon Batiste, who was nominated in 11 categories, ended up winning five awards, including album of the year. Silk Sonic — the R&B superduo featuring Bruno Mars and Anderson .Paak — took home all four awards they were nominated for, including record and song of the year.

Meanwhile, Doja Cat and SZA won best pop duo/group performance for their song "Kiss Me More," and Olivia Rodrigo won three awards, including best new artist. Lady Gaga and Tony Bennett also won best traditional pop vocal album for their album "Love For Sale."
