Career
Thomson appeared on television in New Zealand, starting with Marlin Bay, a drama set in a casino and resort. He gained a following following for his occasional appearances in the television series Hercules: The Legendary Journeys and Xena: Young Hercules, which were both shot in New Zealand.
Thomson moved to Australia in 1995 and landed in regular roles in Pacific Drive, medical drama All Saints (1999–2003) and The Alice (2005).
