Everlast Life

Erik Francis Schrody (born August 18, 1969), also known as Everlast, is an American singer, songwriter, comedian, actor, and songwriter known for his solo career and as the front-man for hip hop band House of Pain.

He was also a member of La Coka Nostra, a hip hop supergroup made up of members of House of Pain and other rappers.

With Latin rock band Santana, he received a Grammy Award for Best Rock Performance by a Duo or Group with Vocal.

Personal life

Schrody stopped recording Whitey Ford Sings the Blues on the day, he noticed a tightening in his chest. It lasted for five hours, causing his co-producer and friend John Gamble to insist that Schrody go to the hospital. Schrody had a torn aortic valve, and his heart was essentially "drowning in blood." Schrody had a heart attack while attending the hospital, not due to rumors of heroin use (he had stopped drinking two years earlier), but it was the onset of a heart disease. He awakened after three days with an artificial heart valve and recovered slowly.

Everlast converted from Catholicism to Islam in 1996. "Even if I would consider myself to be Muslim, I don't really believe it." In a 2011 interview, he said. I personally defame all organized religion, but if a group of people get together and are spiritual, they will do amazing things together and feel proud of each other. But, when you start enforcing your values and ideals on others who are not willing to reveal them all, it turns into Palestine and Israel, and all of these things.

Ya know?

Indians and Pakistanis, ya know?"

"To me, Islam is mine," Trump said in 2015, "To me, Islam is mine." Allah is the God of all the universe, and all mankind, as well as Alameen (worlds/universe). My personal relationship with God is Islam. So, no one can put more pressure on me than I can put on myself. However, I have never felt more at home or more welcome" in the mosque where I pray.

He married Lisa Schrody, a former Penthouse model born in April 2005 (under the name "Cassia Riley") in May 2009. They have two children. In 2009, they first-born babies were diagnosed with cystic fibrosis immediately after birth.

Everlast Career

Career

Everlast's 1990 debut album Forever Everlasting was a commercial disappointment, despite being a member of the Ice-T's group Rhyme Syndicate. Everlast formed the hip-hop band House of Pain after the album's demise. The band, which was signed to Tommy Boy Records in 1992, was a multiplatinum, with the release of the hit DJ Muggs' "Jump Around."

Fashioning themselves as rowdy Irish-American hooligans (Lethal is actually Latvian-born), the Ramones, Beastie Boys, and Rage Against the Machine followed them on tour, ranging from hip rap and experimental rock bands to Lethal after their breakthrough. They appeared alongside Helmet and several other rap artists on the 1993 rock-rap joint Judgment Night movie soundtrack (Everlast also played a villain in the film). Everlast's original members were disbanded in 1996, and the group moved to pursue a solo career.

Whitey Ford Sings the Blues, Everlast's 1998 album, was both a commercial and critical success (selling more than three million copies). Everlast, as well as developers Dante Ross and John Gamble, produced Whitey Ford Sings the Blues, was praised for its blend of rap, acoustic, and electric guitars. The album's lead single, "What It's Like," became his most popular and lucrative song, though the album's sequel, "Ends," debuted in the top ten, atop the United States charts.

On Santana's 1999 album Supernatural, the last resurrectance of this success by teaming with Santana on the track "Put Your Lights On." It debuted at No. 1 in the United States chart. 118 on the pop chart, but did a good job with rock radio airplay, peaking at No. 118. On the Mainstream Rock Tracks chart, 8 is number 8 out of 8. At the 2000 Grammy Awards, "Put Your Lights On" was named Best Rock Performance by a Duo or Group with Vocal.

Despite the success of Whitey Ford Sings the Blues and his success with Santana, Everlast's follow-up album, Eat at Whitey's (2000), ranked first in the United States. However, it was eventually rated gold. The album was also widely embraced critically, particularly by Rolling Stone, who compared the album between "good" and "great" and focusing on it as the month's most significant news.

Everlast and Eminem clashed in the course of the year. Eminem and Everlast met in early 1999 at a concert. Eminem says he did not greet Everlast because he didn't recognize him right away and that Everlast did not recognize him, and that Everlast did not recognize him. According to Everlast's version, he attempted to congratulate Eminem for his achievement, but Eminem blew him off.

"Cock my hammer, spit a comet like Haley/I buck a.380 on ones that act shady"), before going on to warn "You could get a beating out where I come from" in his recounting of the incident. Eminem blasted Everlast several times in public and on the album "I Remember (Dedication to Whitey Ford)" released as the B-side to his group's 12" vinyl single "Shit on You," on his own.

Everlast responded with the song "Whitey's Revenge" which was limited to his official website. Although the song included references to Eminem's strained friendships with his wife and mother, it was still "better run and check your child for your DNA," referring to Eminem's daughter, Hailie Jade Mathers, who sparked Eminem. "I ain't wasting no more time with you guy," the song ends with the spoken word. That's it, that shit, not that shit.

"Quitter," Eminem and the D12 responded, the second half of which is a spin on "Hit 'Em Up" by 2Pac and the Outlaws (a diss song aimed at The Notorious B.I.G. "Fuck him, that's it, I'm done, I'm done, that's it," the track finishes with the spoken word "I'm done, that's it." It was announced that long-time friends of Eminem, a Limp Bizkit group, were supposed to be on "Quitter," but Fred Durst canceled at the last minute. Everlast expressed a similar opinion in various interviews, saying that everything had been reported and he would now refrain from further responses. Following Eminem's disses towards them on "Quitter," the Dilated Peoples' evidence of their involvement on "Search 4 Bobby Fisher" has surfaced.

In a TRL interview, former Limp Bizkit and former House of Pain member DJ Lethal made the argument that if Mathers and Schrody battle in real life, Everlast would triumph. This irked Eminem, as well as an insulting song aimed at both Everlast and Limp Bizkit on D12's mainstream debut, "Girls" as a hidden track. Everlast suffered another insult against Eminem after the introduction of "Quitter," but the controversy went unnoticed due to B-Real's decision to rather squash the conflict rather than announce it. According to Eminem, their fight has fought since then, and Mathers and Schrody have a common admiration. Eminem on the Marshall Mathers LP 2 song "Baby" puts an end to lyrical rivalry between the two groups, implying an end to lyrical hostilities between the two bands.

Everlast was without a name when the Tommy Boy Records catalog of master tapes to Warner Bros. Records and its metamorphosis to a dance music label in 2002, but he signed with Island/Def Jam in 2003. After nearly four years of hiatus, his fourth solo album, White Trash Beautiful (2004), was released later this year. White Trash Beautiful, a collaborative effort between hip-hop trope and bluesy strum, was released by Everlast and Dante Ross and starring a lead single of the same name.

Everlast joined the hip-hop group La Cobra in early 2006 with his former House of Pain mates DJ Lethal and Danny Boy. Danny Boy, the former House of Pain Hype, formed the group as a union made up of rappers Slaine and Big Left, who have since left the group. Soon after the company's founding, Ill Bill of a now disbanded Non Phixion and Everlast joined the fold. "Fuck Tony Montana," the B-Real of Cypress Hill and Sick Jacken's first recorded song, was released in the United States. The group has released several more songs online for free due to the success of the song on the internet.

Everlast was chosen to perform the theme song for the television show Saving Grace in 2007. The song appeared on the show's main title sequence and was initially released to digital outlets only, but it was also included on Everlast's fifth solo album, Love, War, and the Ghost of Whitey Ford. The album was released on September 23, 2008 on Everlast's own record label Martyr Inc, with distribution by Hickory Records/Sony/ATV Music Publishing). (It was revealed early on Friday, August 29). In December 2007, martyr-inc.com's second single and video, "Letter Home From the Garden of Stone," was released for free download from martyr-inc.com. On August 19, Johnny Cash's "Folsom Prison Blues" was released as a cover. On October 28, 2008, the music video for "Stone in My Hand" debuted on the martyr-inc website, making it the album's fourth video.

On July 14, 2009, the group's debut album A Brand You Can Trust was released. Snoop Dogg, B-Real, Bun B, Immortal Technique, Sick Jacken, and Q-Unique are among the guests on the album. On Rock the Bells, La Coka Nostra followed the likes of Nas and Ill Bill Bill's brother Necro.

Songs of the Ungrateful Living, Martyr Inc.'s sixth solo album, was released in October 2011 as part of EMI in collaboration with EMI. The album was produced by Everlast in collaboration with DJ Lethal, Fredwreck, and Darius Holbert. Several Songs of the Ungrateful Life featured overtly political and social themes, including Love, War, and the Ghost of Whitey Ford.

Everlast left the company in 2012 to attend to his daughter's medical problems.

On a Busta Rhymes tour in 2013, Everlast and Eminem were included together. Everlast's acoustic album The Life Acoustic was released on August 27, 2013 via his own record label Martyr Inc. That year, Everlast sued inflatables firm "Jump Around Rentals" for using the phrase "if you want to get down jump around" in their advertisements, claiming it belonged to House of Pain.

Everlast, along with Divine Styler and Sick Jacken, began in 2017 and has released a Warporn mixtape.

On September 7, 2018, Everlast's seventh studio album, Whitey Ford's House of Pains, was released.
