Career

Leusink's second album, Zelda Step, was released on April 10, 2010. The album featured remixes of "Lost Woods," "Song of Storms," and "Gerudo Valley" from The Legend of Zelda: Ocarina of Time, as well as a remix of "Dragon Roost Island" from The Legend of Zelda: The Wind Waker. The album received mixed to favorable feedback, with Jade Royal of Sputnikmusic giving it a 3.5 out of 5 star rating, adding, "It's a thin line that Ephixa treads with 'Zelda Step', but one that ultimately pleases more than disdains." Complex's Elton Jones, who later ranked Leusink's remix of "Lost Woods" as the best remix of a video game theme song, concluded with his analysis of the song with "The Legend of Zelda Lost Woods theme mixed with dubstep sounds amazing."

Leusink's "Charlie Sheen Bi-Winning Dubstep," a remix that featured footage of Charlie Sheen from an interview that was originally broadcast on American TV series 20/20, on March 2, 2011. The remix had been watched over 700,000 times on YouTube and gained over 7,500 likes within two days of its introduction, making it one of the site's most popular and viral videos of all time.

Leusink's dubstep remix of the song "Sanctuary," originally by English trance artist Gareth Emery, appeared on September 19, 2011. The remix was included in a longer play based on the original song, titled Sanctuary (The Remixes). When assessing Leusink's remix, a writer for DJ Mag said he had gone for a "twitchy, spasmodic piece of dubstep-ery," which is fine, according to the style. Leusink debuted and peaked at number 11 on Billboard's Next Big Sound chart in the week of November 5, 2011.

Leusink's "Awesome To The Max" was released on August 3, 2012, which the Your EDM staff characterized as "heavy but laid back, and a gift for fans of dubstep and Monstercat alike. Leusink produced "The Anthem" on August 25, collaborating with American producer Varien and Canadian duo Project 46. To celebrate Monstercat's one-year anniversary, the collaboration was announced alongside an animated music video. Both "Awesome To The Max" and "The Anthem" appeared on Monstercat's ninth compilation album, Monstercat 009 – Reunion. Both songs were later included on Monstercat's Best of 2012 compilation album.

Leusink left Monstercat in November 2012 and began to perform music on his own. He released "Fuck The System," a mash-up of himself, Deadmau5, and Showtek, on November 16. The album was released to support "Fuck the 9to5 jobs." "Unraveled Reality" by Leusink on January 17, 2013, which Steve Jacobs of EDM Sauce wrote that the album "offers a hint of a soothing vibe as well as some classic drum sounds." Leusink went on hiatus in 2013 and is now on hiatus. The Monstercat workers were asked what happened to Leusink, which they replied firmly: During a Reddit AMA.

Leusink unveiled "Catfish" on June 30, 2014, a year after he introduced "Unraveled Reality" and almost two years after he announced "The Anthem," and nearly two years after he introduced "The Anthem." James Brannigan of EDMTunes praised the song for its minimalist trance transition, then stating that Ephixa brings back the music he used to win all of our hearts as he did in his dubstep remix of 'Song of Storms'.

Leusink's remix of American electronic producer Dex Arson's "Machina" became part of the latter's extended play Welcome to War on February 5, 2015. James Brannigan, a writer for EDMTunes, praised the remix for its ethnicity and described it as "bearing a resemblance to Excision's style." Luesink had converted the original song into a "genre-hopping, deep and rumbling tune likely to shock your listeners," Matthew Meadows of Your EDM reported later, "allowing for a very diverse and layered track suitable for everyday life."

Leusink collaborated with Stephen Walking on "Matches" on Monstercat's 5th anniversary, with Aaron Richards as the vocalist. The collaboration was previously published in Leusink's 2014 mini-mix Wip Rip Reel under the working title "Old Dennis." Leusink said at the time that the track would "most likely never" be completed. Fans then voted the song to be included in Monstercat's Best of 2016 compilation album.

Leusink co-founded "Losing You" on Monstercat on February 2, 2017. Playing With Sound's Billie-Darian Hollyhead characterized the album as a "beautiful progressive house track," referring to Brehms' vocals as "truly stunning as they lay on top of the oscillating beats." The song was later released as part of Monstercat's Best of 2017 compilation album. Leusink appeared on Laura Brehm's remix album Breathe EP Remixes on August 19, 2017.

Leusink's "Skyforth" was released as part of Rocket League x Monstercat Vol. on July 5, 2017. Psyonix, a San Diego-based video game developer, has released Monstercat and San Diego-based video game developer Psyonix's first joint album. The song appeared on Psyonix's 2015 video game Rocket League's in-game soundtrack, as well as 17 other tracks by various artists, including Slushii, Aero Chord, Vicetone, Tristam, and Rogue.

Leusink's own record label Electric Bird Records collaborated with Laura Brehm on October 26, 2017, releasing "Deja Vu" on the latter's own record label Electric Bird Records. Landon Fleury of Your EDM compared the song to Leusink's previous song "Skyforth" in that the tack "sees Ephixa continuing down the house path in a similar manner to his song 'Skyforth,' but with a stronger groove and fresh vocal chops to top it off." Brehm's vocals were described as those that "really soar, raising the production to its highest level," Fleury later described.

Leusink and electronic music producer Boss battle collaborated on Monstercat to unleash "Subside" on December 13, 2017. Landon Fleury wrote about the song's influences from various experimental dance music styles, including chiptune, synthwave, bass house, and trap, and ended his essay by writing "Simply said, it's a blend of various sounds and styles that somehow fit together in the end." The song was later released on Monstercat Uncaged Vol. 2. Monstercat's first compilation album since their Uncaged and Instinct re-branding in January was released in January. The song appeared on Monstercat's Best of 2018 compilation album.

On August 10, 2018, Leusink released "Dreamstate" on Monstercat. The album, according to a writer for T.H.E.
