Elizabeth Bradley (born May 1922 – October 30, 2000) was an English actress, perhaps best known for her role as axe-axe Maud Grimes in Coronation Street. Joan Abraham, a senior civil servant's daughter, was born in Hampstead, London, and she adopted her father's middle name as her stage surname.

She began acting professionally at the age of 23.

She married actor Garth Adams in 1950 and was happily married in Coronation Street until his death in 1977, where the couple had three children.

The woman was often described as "the mother-in-law from hell."

During this period, she filmed 476 episodes and died unexpectedly in France a year after leaving the show. She has appeared in The Bill, Casualty, Bad Girls, and The Sweeney.

She appeared in four Dimensions of Greta and The Flesh and Blood Exhibition (both 1972) with producer Pete Walker, as the old woman who meets a naked David Naughton at London Zoo (1981). Bradley died after suffering a stroke at the age of 78, earning an Olivier Award nomination as Best Supporting Actress for her part in a National Theatre performance of Billy Liar.
