She grew up and went to school in Koksijde. She was discovered in 1999 when she decided to enter a fashion competition (Miss Mannequin) with a friend of hers. The competition was held in Roeselare, Belgium. Msel had a long career, gaining experience in Prada, H&M, Versace, Armani, Nina Ricci, Gianfranco Ferre, Lacoste, GAP, Ralph Lauren, Escada, Pollini, and Valentino, as well as Prada, H&M. Crombez has appeared on television, French, Italian, Mexican, Japanese, German, and Turkish Vogue, as well as on the front cover of French Elle and six times on the back of Italian Vogue.
