Ebi Career

Early life and career

He was born in Khorramdareh and is the eldest of six siblings. He formed "the Rebels" with Shahram Shabpareh and Siavash Ghomayshi in the mid-60's, inspired by the Beatles. He was also a member of the "Sunboys" and "Black cats" bands before embarking on a solo career.

Before the 1979 Islamic Revolution, he left Iran to go on tour in the United States.

Hala (Hey), written by Iranian poet Mina Assadi and produced by Esfandiar Monfadeh, Ebi in 1999, was one of many "politically charged" songs, and it was predicted that the Iranian people would reclaim their power and that the Iranian people might resurrect. In an interview with TV station Manoto in 2013, he called this song his most important political film. Ebi renewed his focus on Iran's domestic politics by performing the song Tasmim (Decision) in 2009 as a protest against the 2009 presidential election.

Ebi debuted on Persia's Got talent in 2020.
