Early life and career beginnings

So So So Def founder Jermaine Dupri discovered Dondria on YouTube by So So Def founder Jermaine Dupri. She was born in Dover, Oklahoma, and then raised in Sachse, Texas. After her friend David Baker begged her to join him, Dondria began singing in her church choir at a young age. She began a YouTube channel with the name "Phatffat" in 2006, showcasing her singing talent at the age of 19. She established a large online fanbase on YouTube, and Dupri later responded via a YouTube message. Although it took several messages before she responded, when she did landfall to Atlanta to speak with Dupri, he gave her a recording deal with So So Def Recordings, and she accepted Dupri and signed her in 2007. Originally she was invited to perform a song with R&B band Jagged Edge, but she was eventually offered a solo contract.

On June 17, 2008, Dondria unveiled a buzz single for her debut album, titled "Can't Stop." It was originally thought to be her first single, but it was only as a bid booster for the cause. She appeared on Bow Wow's "Look This" song, which was also on his 2009 studio album New Jack City, II. On November 6, 2009, Dondria released "Dondria Duets," a fan mixtape. Dondria originally planned to debut "Dondria Duets III: 90s Edition" on January 6, 2012, her 25th birthday, but it was postponed. On February 1, 2012, the mixtape will be released. Jermaine Dupri confirmed that this would be the last installment of the series in a YouTube video, but that Dondria Duets III: 90's Edition" mixtape will be released as her third studio album. The album will feature all new original duet recordings. On February 1, 2012, "Dondria Duets III: 90s Edition" was published online by Global14.com. Information regarding his first official single from Dondria's second album was also released on this date. The single, according to Rapup.com, will be called "Ol School Love" and starring Da Brat.

Dondria's first original body of work since her debut album, "Dondria Vs. Phatffat," was released on July 4, 2017. Fans of the Dondria Duet series had been in for a treat for six years.

Dondria's "A Tale of Hearts" EP was released on November 9, 2018. Corey "Broadway" Stevenson, my childhood friend and Youtube partner in crime, was involved in this venture. The EP was produced by Patrick Carpenter of First Kontact Music Group, and it delighted all of the duo's followers who had been following them for years and asked what had happened to their union, and we were curious what happened to their friendship.
