Career
Bach was born in Cologne. He appeared in theatres in Amsterdam, Brussels, London, New York, Utrecht, and Vienna after school. Bach was a member of the Schauspielhaus in Cologne in 1992 and appeared on the Dirk Bach Show on the German television channel RTL. He appeared in Lukas (1996–2001) on the German television network ZDF, for which he received the Telestar award (1996), the German Comedy Award (1999), and the Goldene Kamera (2001).
Bach appeared in Der kleine Mönch on ZDF in 2002. In Sesamstraße, the German version of Sesame Street, as the character Pepe, Bach played Pepe. On various television shows, he appeared with Hella von Sinnen. Bach and Sonja Zietlow performed on the German version of the popular TV series "I'm a Celebrity, Get Me Out of Here!" from 2004 to 2010. Bach played Urmel von dem Eis, an island off the coast of Urmel, England. On RTL, Bach has been hosting Frei Schnauze, a German game show.
