Dianne Buswell Career

Career

Buswell is a former Australian Open champion and a four-time Amateur Australian Open finalist. For 2008 and 2010, she and her brother Andrew Buswell were WA Open Adult New Vogue (dance) champions. She has also appeared on So You Think You Can Dance Australia.

When Buswell joined the touring dance company Burn the Floor in January 2011, she became a professional at the age of 21. She appeared on Dancing with the Stars for the 15th season in 2015, partnered with AFL actress Jude Bolton; they were the fifth couple eliminated.

In 2017, Buswell appeared on Strictly Come Dancing on the BBC. Reverend Richard Coles was her celebrity partner for the 2017 series. They were the second couple to be disqualified in the series, losing the dance-off to Simon Rimmer and Karen Hauer in a unanimous decision. For the 2017 Children in Need special, Buswell was partnered with television host Tim Vincent.

She appeared on YouTuber Joe Sugg for the sixteenth series of the show in 2018. They were runners-up, alongside Faye Tozer, Giovanni Pernice, Ashley Roberts, and Pasha Kovalev, who were also behind Stacey Dooley and Kevin Clifton. The pair appeared in Strictly Come Dancing Live in early 2019. Tour defiant's victory at 28 of the 29 shows.

Buswell returned to her third series in 2019, partnering with radio DJ Dev Griffin. They were the third couple to leave the show after losing a dance-off to Emma Weymouth and Alja Skorjanec.

She was partnered with former The Wanted singer Max George for series 18 in 2020. They were the third couple to be eliminated after losing a dance-off to Maisie Smith and Gorka Marquez.

In 2021, Buswell appeared on series 19 and became a comedian, actor, and writer. Webb withdrew from the tournament after three weeks due to poor health.

She was paired with radio and television host Tyler West for series 2022 in 2022.
