Career
Kruger first appeared in 1993 in the Elite Model Look and began modeling afterwards. Despite her brief modeling experience, she was able to land bookings including those from Yves Saint Laurent, Chanel, Salvatore Ferragamo, Giorgio Armani, Jil Sander, Christian Dior, Burberry, and Louis Vuitton; runway shows from Marc Jacobs, D&G and Sonia Rykiel; as well as her Vogue Paris, Marie Claire, and Cosmopolitan to her modeling portfolio. After deciding to pursue a career in acting, she gradually stopped modeling.
Kruger became interested in acting and took lessons at Cours Florent. In The Piano Player, Jean-Pierre Roux's television film, she made her film debut in 2002, starring Dennis Hopper and Christopher Lambert. She appeared in her then husband's debut Mon Idole the same year.
