On Monday, The Athletic reported that Team USA is finalizing 11 of its 12-man roster for the games. According to the Athletic's sources, the players cemented in place combine for 11 NBA titles with four former MVPs. Guards Jayson Tatum, Devin Booker, Jrue Holiday, Tyrese Haliburton, and Anthony Edwards have committed to international duty. Meanwhile, bigs Bam Adebayo and James' Lakers running partner, Anthony Davis, will help bolster the front court for the stars and stripes.

The jokes came after a video of an alleged 'NBA player' getting a haircut went viral on social media. The clip shows a barber's point of view as he gives a man, who is covering his face, a haircut. Social media users labelled the customer an 'NBA player' without naming the man behind the facial cover. In the video, the barber shaves the top of his head and applies glue before placing a toupee over it. He then gives his client a clean-up on the side - the result happening to look like Booker's typical haircut.

About halfway through the season, Booker's Suns soared by six points when what seemed to be an ongoing verbal contest with Whitmore hit its breaking point. After releasing the ball, Booker's forearm extension was given to him. After making the jumper, the Suns star revived his hand and blasted his opponent in the arm. While jogging down the court, Whitmore unleashed a two-handed shove that moved, but Booker did not seem to worry - Booker a few steps behind. The booker did not threaten him back but instead kept his jersey.
