Denise van Outen (born Denise Outen; 27 May 1974) is an English actress, singer, model, dancer, and host.
In the tenth season of BBC One dancing show Strictly Come Dancing, she appeared in The Big Breakfast, appeared Roxie Hart in the musical Chicago, appeared in the West End and on Broadway, and finished as the runner-up. Early life
Denise Kathleen Outen, born in Basildon, Essex, England, she has a brother Terry and a sister Jackie. She says that her ancestors are "all Dutch," which is the reason she added "van" into her name. She started designing for knitting patterns at the age of seven and demonstrated a natural flair for performing. This resulted in her attending the Sylvia Young Theatre School. She appeared in Les Misérables in 1986 (the actor paid her school fees), the Anthony Newley-directed production Stop the World - I Want to Get Off, and The Royal Shakespeare Company's A Midsummer Night's Dream.

She dated Jamiroquai lead singer Jay Kay from 1998 to 2001. Both were engaged when they were married but then broke up in 2001. A Funk Odyssey by the Jamiroquai is mainly about their break-up.
She was married to Any Dream Will Do winner Lee Mead from 2009 to 2015 (separated 2013). Betsy and her mother, who was born in 2010, they have a daughter together. Career
Kappatoo and The Bill were two of a few television dramas as an adolescent. She appeared in a Drinking and Driving Wrecks Lives commercial in 1992. Melanie Blatt, also performed backing vocals for Dreadzone. She performed with former video game soundtrack singer Cathy Warwick in a 'girl group' called Those2Girls,' by which time she had become Denise van Outen. Those2Girls were signed to BMG's Final Vinyl record label and had a minor Top 40 hit in 1995 called "All I Want." In a 2007 survey of readers of Grazia magazine, Van Outen was named Rear of the Year in 1999 and ranked as the most coveted "bikini body."

Van Outen appeared in a performance of The Play What I Wrote once more in London's West End last year.
