Residents are divided over plans to turn a supermarket on a 10-acre plot of land into a new 'town', with 1,500 homes. Asda is working with developer Barratt London to convert its existing Park Royal site in north-west London (pictured) into a new superstore, with a 400-space customer car park, hundreds of affordable homes, and scope for new restaurants, shops and health facilities. A 'large number' of the apartments will be built above the store. But some locals told MailOnline the development would be too big for the area
