She premiered "Parfum de fericire" ("Perfume of Happiness") in Romania this year, the same year as her debut solo studio album of the same name.
Matache's second album Listen Up! was released after she attempted to represent Romania in the Eurovision Song Contest 2006 with the lyrics "Baby" and "Gândești prea High" ("You Think Too High" written by Costi Ioniță. Matteo appeared on "Listen Up" in June 2006, a moderately popular single. In 2008, the singer appeared in Dansez pour tine, Romania's version of Dancing With the Stars, with partner Ionuț Pavel.
