Debralee Scott (April 2, 1953 – May 5, 2005) was a comedic American actress best known for her appearances on the sitcoms Welcome Back, Kotter; Angie; Mary Hartman, Mary Hartman; and Forever Fernwood.

Scott was born and raised in Elizabeth, New Jersey, and later moved to Stroudsburg, Pennsylvania, where she served as a cheerleader.

Career

At the age of 22, she discovered fame on Mary Hartman, Mary Hartman's role as Mary Shumway. Rosalie "Hotsy" Totsy, a television presenter who appeared in an episode of Gibbsville in 1976, appeared with Angie's younger sister Marie Falco in the Donna Pescow situation comedy Angie, appeared on the first season of the television show Welcome Back, Kotter.

The 1973 feature film American Graffiti, the 1974 film Earthquake, and the 1984 film Police Academy were among her film credits.

Scott appeared on the game-show circuit in the late 1970s and early 1980s, often appearing on programs including Match Game, The $20,000 Pyramid, Riddlers, and Password Plus.

Scott appeared on Celebrity Family Feud on November 4, 1979 with the cast of Angie. The Angie cast of The Ropers took on Angie's. She took 176 points out of the 200 required to win in the Fast Money round. When winning $10,000 for their charity, partner Robert Hays only needed 24 points. She scored 234 points all by herself in the final Fast Money round of the special tournament, winning before Hays had a chance to play. Host Richard Dawson said she was the first celebrity and fourth person in the show's history to win a Fast Money round singlehandedly.

Scott continued to work on camera for a while, appearing in two Police Academy films, but she later moved to a career behind the camera, becoming an Empowered Artists agent for a New York City firm.

Scott appeared on a panel with her fellow Mary Hartman and Mary Hartman cast members at the Museum of Television and Radio in Beverly Hills in 2000.
