In her early teen years, Ryan appeared in numerous television commercials. Barney & Friends made her television debut on the show Barney & Friends in 2006. In Barney's first film role as a guest star, she played the role of a teenager. She appeared in many commercials for iDog and other board games; in 2008, she was in an iDog Dance commercial. Edith was also featured in the Metro-Goldwyn-Mayer feature film The Longshots. Bailey Pickett, one of the main characters of the Disney Channel Original Series, The Suite Life on Deck, is a sequel to the hit Disney Channel show The Suite Life of Zack & Cody. On the Family channel, the series's pilot aired in the United States on September 26, 2008, and it became Canada's most viewed television series premiere. The series was 2008's top scripted television series for teens, beating veteran series Hannah Montana and Wizards of Waverly Place in the ratings.
