Early life and education

Isitt was born in Birmingham. She attended Our Lady of Fatima Primary School and Lordswood Girls Secondary School, and she is a cousin of footballer Darren Wassall.

Nativity 2: Danger in the Manger, Nativity 3: Where's My Donkey? Isitt's filmography includes her Christmas comedies Nativity! Nativity Rocks! She is also known for her Bafta award-winning television play The Illustrated Mum, stage play The Woman Who Cooked Her Husband, and the independent films Nasty Neighbours and Confetti. Love and Marriage, Isitt's most recent film, was directed by Isitt.

Nativity!, Isitt's third feature film starring Martin Freeman, was released in November 2009 and became the year's best British independent film of the year. David Tennant appeared in the sequel and her fourth film, Nativity 2: Danger in the Manger. It was a financial success when it was released in November 2012, earning twice as much at the UK box office as the original film.

In 2014, a new breed of adolescents was introduced. In November 2018, Nativity Rocks!, the fourth entry, was published.Debbie released a stage musical based on the first film in Nativity in 2017.

The Musical. Daniel Boys, Simon Lipkin, and Sarah Earnshaw played Daniel Maddens, Desmond Poppy, and Jennifer Lore retrospectively, from October to January. She wrote, produced, and arranged the music for alongside her partner Nicky Ager.

The show returned for its second tour in 2018. Mr. Poppy appeared once more in this series, but Mr. Maddens and Jennifer joined him this time round.

In 2019, Garnham and Gray returned to the United Kingdom for their third tour. On this tour, Scott Paige played Mr Poppy, the show's comedic lead. Simon Lipkin, on the other hand, has returned to reprise his appearance for the Hammersmith Apollo run of the show.

Debbie will reprise her hit musical form in the Birmingham Rep. for the 2022 Christmas season after the run was postponed from 2020 to 2021 due to the COVID-19 pandemic.
