Dean Alan Wendt (born February 17, 1968, in Elgin, Illinois) is an American voice actor best known as Barney's voice on the hit children's show Barney & Friends. Dean Wendt, a co-founder/creator and Disc jockey on Radio Disney from 1994-99 Season 4–11, but he left the company in order to devote his time to voice Barney the Dinosaur in 2001 after Bob West's resignation in 2000. His voice has appeared in various other Barney publications, including concert tours around the world.

He has appeared on television shows including Barney's Colorful World and Barney Live! The Let's Go Tour is an annual event that takes place in the United States.

He has appeared on over 100 television shows and more than 25 videos.
