Jason Pargin (born January 10, 1975), also known as David Wong in his pen name, is an American humor writer.
He is the executive editor of Cracked.com, a regular contributor to the Cracked Podcast, and has written four books including: John Dies at the End (2007), This Book Is Full of Spiders (2012), Futuristic Violence and Fancy Suits (2015), and What the Hell Did I Just Read (2017).

Early life
Pargin was born in Lawrenceville, Illinois. He and fellow Internet writer John Cheese (real name Mack Leighty) attended high school together and met in an art class together. Pargin enrolled in 1997 in the Southern Illinois University (SIU) radio-television program, graduating in 1997. He appeared on Alt.news cable television as an undergraduate at SIU. Consumer Advocate was a student at the University of SIU. A number of episodes were produced. He lived in Marion, Illinois, until 2014, when he moved to Nashville.
