Choe self-published a graphic novel titled Slow Jams in 1996; he claims to have only 200 copies and gave them away at Comic-Con in 1998, wishing to attract a publisher. In 1999, he applied Slow Jams for the Xeric Grant, receiving $5,000 to self-publish a second, improved version of 1,000 that came out in 1999 with a cover price of $4.

He was given a solo exhibition at the Santa Rosa Museum of Contemporary Art in 2005 after having multiple solo shows in San Jose and San Francisco. He opened "Gardeners of Eden" in 2007 at Jonathan LeVine Gallery in Chelsea, and in 2008, he held his first UK solo exhibition, "Murderous Heart," in both the London and Newcastle locations of Lazarides Gallery.

Choe was hired to write and do artwork for Vice magazine after being approached by Gavin McInnes and Shane Smith for his artwork.

For an online series called Thumbs Up!

Choe and Harry Kim were filmed hitchhiking and freight hopping from Los Angeles to Tijuana, Alaska, and then hitchhiking through China from Beijing to Shenzhen and Macau's gambling mecca. After undergoing extensive rehabilitation and therapy, he resurfaced in 2017 with a new body of work and an exhibition in Los Angeles that highlighted heavy themes of anxiety, self-reflection, and hope for recovery.

Ali Wong talks about adjusting to newfound fame after the success of her hit Netflix series Beef

www.dailymail.co.uk, May 31, 2023
Ali Wong talked about her aspirations after Beef in a Variety cover story published on Tuesday. The 41-year-old comedian announced that she put stand-up comedy on hold to concentrate on filming for Netflix's hit dark comedy series, and she addressed how she has been adapting to her newfound fame. In the interview, the actress, who revealed her rekindled love with Bill Hader in April, also touched on the scandal surrounding her co-star, David Choe.

"Beef"'s Future Currently Remains Unclear's Unclear is in charge of determining what's next generation is

Many are curious if there will be a season two of Ali Wong and Steven Yeun's standout appearance in Netflix's "Beef" are the two most notable. The show, which follows a back-and-forth between a defeated contractor named Danny (Yeun) and a wealthy, overworked mother named Amy (Wong), culminating in Wong and Yeun's characters basically destroying each other's lives. We see Danny in the hospital fighting for his life after being shot by Amy's husband, George (Joseph Lee). In bed next to Danny, we also see a glimmer of compassion from Amy as she lies in bed next to him. Lee Sung Jin, a director of Rolling Stone, told Rolling Stone in April that he wanted the show to have "a definitive feel just in case." "But there are a lot of thoughts on my side to continue the story," he continued. If we're lucky enough to have a season two, I think there are a lot of ways for Danny and Amy to continue. I have one big general idea that I can't quite explain yet, but I do have three seasons planned out in my head right now."

'Beef' creators speak about David Choe's podcast where he details sexually assaulting masseuse

www.dailymail.co.uk, April 21, 2023
After clips of a disturbing nine-year old podcast chat emerged following the show's debut, the makers and actors of Beef have spoken out in favor of co-star and graffiti artist David Choe. Following his appearance in the latest hit Netflix show, a contentious tale of an alleged sexual encounter with a massage therapist revealed during a March 2014 episode of his now-cancelled podcast DVDASA, Choe was seen using copyright legislation to remove clips. Beef creator Lee Sung Jin and co-producers Ali Wong and Steven Yeun say they believe Choe made up the tale and although they don't condone it, they still support him.
