David Andrews Career

High school career

Andrews was a two-way lineman at Wesleyan School in Peachtree Corners, Georgia. Wesleyan won the 2008 GHSA Class A state championship in his sophomore year. His coaches credited him with over a hundred knockdown blocks during his junior and senior seasons, although not allowing a quarterback to be fired. Andrews was named 2010 Gwinnett County Offensive Lineman of the Year and the All-County First-team Offense of the Gwinnett Daily News.

Andrews was ranked as the No. 1 in a three-star recruit by Rivals.com. Reese Dismukes' class of 2011 offered a 9 center prospect. Andrews had offers from Duke and Michigan, but as a lifelong Bulldogs fan, he waited for Georgia to respond and committed "fully on the spot" when he was given the invitation in February 2010.

College career

Andrews appeared in ten games during his collegiate season at Georgia. For the fall semester, he was awarded the Academic Director's Honor Roll award. Andrews filled the void left at center by Ben Jones' graduation. Andrews played in all 14 games, assuring quarterback Aaron Murray. He was named SEC Offensive Lineman of the Week after an Auburn game in early November as he stood out at 88 percent and had six "dominator" blocks and three knockdowns.

Andrews was added to the Rimington Trophy's preseason watch list as a junior. He started all 13 games at center and shielded quarterback Murray, so Georgia finished second in passing in the SEC. He was named Offensive MVP by Zach Gale and also by Phil Steele at the end of spring practice. Andrews had 13 starts in as many games as he went through his senior season, out of 50 games for his college career. The Vince Dooley Most Valuable Player Award, a national recognition of Georgia, was named second-team All-SEC by the Associated Press, and he was one of six finalists for the Rimington Trophy.

Professional career

Andrews was undrafted in the 2015 NFL Draft but as a free agent for the New England Patriots on May 8, 2015. He stood out at Patriot training camp and played more than expected in preseason, beginning with injury to starting center Bryan Stork and reserve center/guard Ryan Wendell. In Week 1 against the Pittsburgh Steelers, Andrews made the Patriots 53-man roster and began at center after Stork was put on injured reserve with the designation to return and Wendell was inactive. Andrews played every game through Week 10, having no snaps over the first half of the season. Andrews was ranked in the top two in fan voting at the position, although he was not selected to the 2016 Pro Bowl. Andrews received a performance-based compensation bonus of $237,427.11, the second-highest of any Patriot in 2015, after cornerback Malcolm Butler).

Andrews beat Bryan Stork for the starting center position in 2016, resulting in the team's release from the team. He appeared in all 16 Patriots games on an offensive line that led the team to a 14-2-2 record. Andrews got off in Super Bowl LI against the Atlanta Falcons in the first overtime game and best comeback in Super Bowl history; the Patriots trailed 28–3 late in the third quarter but roared to victory by a score of 34–28.

Andrews signed a three-year deal with the Patriots through the 2020 season on May 12, 2017. With a $1.6 million signing bonus and an additional $2.1 million in incentives, the agreement has a base value of $9.6 million. Andrews was named a Patriots captain for the first time in his career on September 5, 2017. Andrews appeared in 17 of 19 games for the Patriots, including their Super Bowl LII loss to the Philadelphia Eagles.

In 2018, Andrews started all 16 games at center for the Patriots. Andrews was assisting the Patriots in their third straight Super Bowl appearance since beating the Los Angeles Chargers and Kansas City Chiefs in the playoffs; they defeated the Los Angeles Rams by a score of 13–3. In the win, Andrews had a rocky comeback.

Andrews was diagnosed with a pulmonary embolism on August 26, 2019, putting his 2019 season in jeopardy. On August 31, 2019, he was put on season-ending wounded reserve.

After missing all of 2019, Andrews returned to the Patriots starting lineup in 2020. After undergoing thumb surgery, he was put on injured reserve on September 26, 2020. He was activated on October 24.

Andrews signed with the Patriots on a four-year contract on March 22, 2021.

According to the report, PFAS 'forever chemicals' were discovered in half of the DoUBLE risk of cancer in women but not in men

www.dailymail.co.uk, September 20, 2023
Women are at a much greater risk of health problems than men because of the harmful 'forever chemicals' lurking in nearly half of the drinking water throughout America. According to a report, women with elevated environmental exposure to per-and polyfluoroalkyl chemicals (PFAS) were up to twice as likely as men with those cancers.

According to a survey, almost every cleaning product in your household could produce hundreds of hazardous chemicals related to cancer and infertility as well as leave them hanging in the air for up to four hours

www.dailymail.co.uk, September 13, 2023
30 common household items such as glass cleaners, stain removers, and air fresheners were tested by researchers at the Environmental Working Group. The scientists found that only one of the volatile substances, or VOCs, were released, with others releasing hundreds of hazardous VOCs with every spray, which can lead to respiratory difficulties, cancers, developmental delays, and reproductive problems. The researchers' findings were regarded as a 'wake-up call' for consumers, who said that people should be'more aware' of the dangers of chemicals in indoor air.

How King Charles's studied at Cambridge and joked 'I am a stupid bum who went to university'

www.dailymail.co.uk, June 11, 2023
When performing on stage, he disguised as a dustman, survived being hit by a bus and emerged with a 2:2 degree. King Charles' time at the University of Cambridge was certainly memorable, but it was also disappointing academically. Prince of Wales, who first studied archaeology and anthropology before moving to history, was at Cambridge from 1967 to 1970, becoming the first heir apparent to earn a degree. Charles' bodyguard, who was expected to attend all of his lectures, passed the same exams and received a higher mark, according to an unproven legend of his time in the museum. Despite the truth of the allegation, Charles later stated that he 'enormously' enjoyed his time at Cambridge, which included his appearance in the famous Footlights (left, dressed as a dustman). During a return to the city in 2016, Charles stunned an audience by announcing that he was struck by a bus while riding his bike as a student and admitting that he had no idea how he had survived.
