Career
Willis has appeared on various Adult Swim shows that were mainly produced by Williams Street, Cartoon Network's animation-centered, Atlanta-based production division.
Willis was hired at Ghost Planet Industries after giving the designers a lengthy letter of recommendation written in crayon, apparently by a teenage boy. Willis was hired as a writer for Cartoon Planet in 1995 and then as a writer for Space Ghost Coast to Coast (SGC2C for short). In early 2000, he helped write and produce the two Brak Presents Brak Specials.
Willis was first aboard the Space Ghost Coast to Coast where he met Matt Maiellaro, with whom Willis would later produce several independent short films and eventually created the famous Adult Swim cartoon Aqua Teen Hunger Force. Aqua Teen Hunger Force first appeared in the early hours of December 30, 2000, and later debuted on Adult Swim in the Fall of 2001. In 2005, he co-created the show Squidbillies. His works tend to be grouped into the category of bizarre humour.
Willis created Cheyenne Cinnamon and the Fantabulous Unicorn of Sugar Town Candy Fudge, a new adult swim television pilot. On March 29, 2010, the pilot was not selected for a complete series. Willis co-wrote "New Kidney in Town," an episode of Family Guy, in 2010.
