Early life and family

Masterson was born on Long Island, New York, the son of Carol, a producer, and Peter Masterson, an insurance agent. He grew up in Garden City and East Williston, New York. He has a brother, actor Christopher Masterson, who appeared on Malcolm in the Middle. Their maternal half-siblings, Jordan Masterson and Alanna Masterson, are also actors. Will Masterson, his paternal half-brother, has also been born.

Personal life

Masterson is a Scientologist. In 2004, he began dating Bijou Phillips, who got engaged in 2009 and married on October 18, 2011. They have one daughter who was born in February 2014.

Masterson, a child model who appeared in magazine papers and television commercials as well as television commercials starting at age 5, began acting as a child and began acting as well. By the time he was a child, his singing voice had "disappeared." "He came in and was just so funny," she said, and that he reimagined where the role was going and made Steven Hyde the "tough, funny guy" in his role.

In all eight seasons of That '70s Show, Masterson appeared. Masterson's time on That '70s Show began his career, enabling him to pursue other ventures beyond tapings. Masterson appeared in many films and made guest appearances on television shows including Punk'd and MADtv after the show concluded. Woodstock 1999, he, Kutcher and Valderrama co-hosted the Fox TV special Woodstock. He appeared in Yes Man, a 2008 comedy. In the 2009 drama The Bridge to Nowhere, Masterson stars with his real-life wife, Bijou Phillips.

In 2011, the Masterson guest appeared in "Where There's A Will" on USA Network. Jerry Rubin was portrayed by Jerry Rubin in the 2010 film The Chicago 8.

The comedy Men At Work premiered on TBS in 2012, co-starring Masterson and Michael Cassidy, James Lesure, and Adam Busch. Masterson appeared in the film Alter Egos, directed by Jordan Galland in 2012.

In the Netflix comedy series The Ranch, Masterson appeared alongside Sam Elliott, Ashton Kutcher, and Elisha Cuthbert. In the middle of filming the third 20-episode season, his character was written out of the series due to his rape and assault charges.

Masterson began DJing at Los Angeles night clubs as a hobby under the name DJ Donkey Punch, but soon became a side hustle. He now goes by the name DJ Mom Jeans. Masterson is a self-described "rock and hip hop fanatic" who is also a fan of indie, electro, and funk music, which he mixes with.

Masterson operated Downstairs, a lounge and bar in Park City, Utah, for a time.
