Career

Harris worked as a model for such companies as Big Sexy Hair and Juicy Jeans before she landed her first acting gig. She appeared in a television commercial for the first time. Harris appeared on the American Broadcasting Company's One Life to Live as Shannon McBain, a student at the fictional Llanview University. Harris migrated to New York for the role and left the show in December 2004. Harris has since appeared in films like JAG, Charmed, CSI: Crime Scene Investigation, What I Like About You, NCIS, and Joey. Harris' first film appearance was in the short film The Plight of Clownana.

Harris was announced to play a major role in the CW's television drama series One Tree Hill in 2005. For the show's fourth season, Harris played Rachel Gatina, a violent girl who creates screams for the residents of Tree Hill. However, Rachel is only reprised in two episodes due to the seasons' format change. Harris was confirmed to reprise Rachel's role in the series's seventh season over the course of seven episodes in June 2009. Harris was in talks to return for the series's eighth season, but these plans never materialized due to scheduling conflicts.

Harris appeared in the New Line Cinema Comedy film Harold & Kumar Escape from Guantanamo Bay, the sequel to the 2004 film Harold & Kumar Go to White Castle. Filming took place in Shreveport, Louisiana, during the same month. Despite the film grossing more than $43,439,123 worldwide, it was released in April 2008 to mostly critical feedback (with aggregator website Rotten Tomatoes giving it an average of 56%). In the third and final installment of the trilogy, A Very Harold & Kumar 3D Christmas, which was published in November 2011, Harris reprises Vanessa Fanning's role.
