Jung Dae-hyun Life

Jung Dae-hyun (born June 28, 1993), also known as Daehyun, is a South Korean singer.

He debuted as an idol in the B.A.P. under TS Entertainment, where he served as the main vocalist from 2012 to its dissolution in 2019.

Following his release from TS Entertainment, he unveiled Chapter2 "27" on April 2019.

Early life

Jung was born in Gwangju, South Jeolla Province, on June 28, 1993. He lived in a wealthy household. He was the second and younger son of his hardware store-owning father and mother. Since watching TVXQ and learning to sing as an infant, he wanted to become a singer. The 1997 Asian financial crisis brought his family into poverty even as he was enrolled in kindergarten. Jung and his family migrated to Busan, where he attended elementary and middle school. He stopped singing in the third year of middle school amid fears about his future. Jung applied to a "practical" music department after renegoting the desire to enroll an arts high school with expensive tuition fees. He went to a youth development center where he practiced singing and learned b-boying in his second year in high school. Jung enrolled in a hagwon in the Haeundae District, where he underwent specific training; he completed the program for around a year.

Personal life

On November 17, 2020, he was enlisted in compulsory military service and was released from military service on May 16, 2022.

Jung Dae-hyun Career

Career

Jung learned about auditions hosted by TS Entertainment in Busan and that he was supposed to participate but decided against participating in a tournament but ended up in second place. The record label contacted him for another chance, and he travelled to Seoul for the audition. He received his notice of acceptance on his train ride back to Busan. He had been a trainee with the company for six months.

On January 16, 2012, Jung was revealed as a member of the idol sextet B.A.P., where he served as the main vocalist. Warrior, the band's single album, debuted ten days later. The company filed a lawsuit against its department in November 2014. Members of a union with the corporation alleged "unfair terms and profit splitting" as the reason for the members' attempt to cancel their deal with the company. The two groups eventually settled and B.A.P. recommenced its operations under TS Entertainment in August of the following year. Following the termination of their employment, Yongguk and Zelo resigned from the company and record label in August and December 2018. Jung and the remaining three members left the agency in February 2019, resulting in the dissolution of B.A.P.

Jung launched a crowdfunding campaign with Culture Bridge in March 2019 to raise funds for his debut mini-album. He was chastised for the costs of the services offered to patrons who earned between 200,000-500,000 (US$437.08), which were described as "excessive." He was compared to his late bandmate Yongguk, who was preparing a "most ambitious" solo album at the time without crowdfunding, which was seen as "authentic." Jung sympathized with his followers and expressed annoyance at the prospect of crowdfunding. On April 5, Chapter 2 "27" was announced. Jung, who no longer identifys as an idol, contributed to the song's design, composition, and production of the album. Jung joined STX Lionheart two months later. He debuted his debut single album Aight and its title track on October 11, as part of the company.

Jung appeared in the musical Grease, where he played Danny. The production spanned from November 2019 to February 2020. On the original soundtrack for JTBC's television series Sweet Munchies, he performed a song named "All Things Will Pass." Jung was cast in The Moment As The Boy, a film that was originally scheduled to run from July to September 2020. Following an increase in infections in the COVID-19 pandemic, only performed until August. His first Japanese single "Amazing" was released on November 25.
