Watros is best known for her appearances on ABC TV shows Libby Smith on ABC's Lost, Kellie in Titus, Erin in Titus, and Guiding Light's Annie Dutton.
Early life
Watros was born in Lake Orion, Michigan. She studied at Macomb Community College in Clinton Township, Michigan, and graduated with a Bachelor of Fine Arts degree in Theatre from Boston University, where she was a participant in Boston University's Professional Actors Training Program.
Personal life
From 1996 to 2020, Watros was married to Curtis Gilliland. They have twin daughters, who were born in 2001.
Watros pled guilty to a DUI charge in 2006. She was fined, ordered to undergo counselling, and had her driver's license suspended for 90 days.
Watros spent 2008 in Iraq on a USO tour, including COP Callahan in Baghdad's East Adamiyah district.
Career
Watros first became known for her role as Annie Dutton on CBS's soap opera Guiding Light from 1994 to 1998. Her character, a nurse, began as a heroine, but she gained acclaim and critical acclaim as her character descended into madness. In 1998, Watros received the Daytime Emmy Award for Outstanding Lead Actress in a Drama Series for her role on Guiding Light. Victoria Hudson McKinnon appeared on Another World briefly in 1998, while Buchanan was on maternity leave.
On Titus from 2000 to 2002, Watros appeared as Erin Fitzpatrick, as a comedic actor portraying the title character's fiancée. Erin was supposed to be neurotic and socially awkward, but a week before the pilot was fired, the story was reimagined, according to the DVD commentary. Kellie Newmark played Kellie Newmark on The Drew Carey Show as a replacement for Christa Miller after Titus was cancelled. Watros appeared in 2001–2004.
Watros appeared on ABC's Lost from 2005 to 2006, playing psychologist Libby, a member of the "Tailies," a group of survivors of the plane crash who were in the tail section of the plane (and not seen during Season One). She was a romantic interest in Hurley and appeared in flashbacks as a cryptic person.
