Crush Career

Life and career

On May 3, 1992, Crush was born Shin Hyo-seob. He aspired to be a performer growing up in Seoul and started listening to R&B and hip hop music at a young age and aspired to be a rapper. Taxi Driver, the Duo's debut album, left a "deep impression" on him, which prompted him to start rapping. During his first year of middle school with a friend, he began playing music and performing live demos to the group's record label Amoeba Culture. He wrote "C-sub" in English as a preliminary stage name and nicknamed Nicknamed "Shi Syeob" (). His friend mistook it for "Crush" — something he immediately loved and wanted to use. Crush studied at Hoseo University and graduated from the Department of Practical Music.

Crush sent Zion.T his demos after attending a hip hop party after taking a break from school. The two became friends and formed the music crew VV:D in 2012, alongside Gray, Loco, and Elo.

On December 7, 2012, Crush introduced the single "Red Dress" starring TakeOne. On Loco's album "No More," he appeared on his first album as a record producer and guest artist. He released the singles "Crush on You" and "Where Do You Want to Go" with Taewan and Gary in the ensuing year. Crush signed an exclusive deal with Amoeba Culture in July 2013.

"Sometimes" was Crush's first single, released on April 1, 2014. Crush on You, his first album, was released on June 5, 2014 and went on to win Best R& Soul Album at the 12th Korean Music Awards. "Sofa" was a track that appeared on Crush in October.

"Just" co-produced with Zion.T. in 2015. The album was released on January 30, 2015, and it debuted at number one on the Gaon Singles Chart.
