Career
When he was in college, Hefner started working for Playboy Enterprises, Inc. Hefner, a board observer at the time, left the company early in 2016 due to differences with then CEO Scott Flanders over the company's course. Hefner's first publications, writing, and releasing op-eds that were focused on politics, culture, and philosophy.
Hefner (Hefner Operations & Productions), a media startup, focused on millennials' content and social affairs in 2016. Hefner returned to Playboy and was appointed chief creative officer of the corporation in July 2016, when Hugh Hefner resigned from his role. Hefner announced nude images would return to the magazine in February 2017, citing that the problem had been the display of nude images rather than the nudity itself.
