Connor William Jessup (born June 23, 1994) is a Canadian actor, writer, and producer.

He is best known for his role as Ben Mason on TNT's science fiction television series Falling Skies (2011–2015) and his appearances in the ABC anthology series American Crime (2016–2017).

He has appeared in feature films, most notably in the award-winning Blackbird (2012) and Closet Monster (2015).

Career

Jessup began acting as a child actor at the age of 11. Jessup began working in a stage adaptation of The Full Monty, where he was also responsible for developing the story of one episode. He appeared as executive producer for Amy George, the 2011 Toronto International Film Festival's independent film.

Jessup was featured as a main character in the TNT science fiction film Falling Skies in 2011. He appeared on the show for five seasons.

Jessup appeared in the Canadian independent film Blackbird, in which he played a troubled teen falsely accused of planning a school shooting. Jessup's appearance attracted critical praise, and the film received several accolades, including the Best Canadian First Feature Film award at the 2012 Toronto International Film Festival. The film received three awards at the Atlantic Film Festival and received the Vancouver International Film Festival Award for Best Canadian Feature Film. At the Cannes Film Festival, it was also on display.

Jessup appeared in the feature film Closet Monster, which received the Best Canadian Film Award at the 2015 Toronto International Film Festival, and screened at several film festivals around the world before being released nationally in July 2016.

In 2016, Jessup appeared in the Emmy-winning ABC series American Crime as Taylor Blaine. Critics lauded his performance. As Coy Henson, he returned to Coy Henson for the third season.

Jessup debuted in 2018 as Tyler Locke, one of the main characters in Netflix's Locke & Key, an extension of Joe Hill and Gabriel Rodriguez's popular comedy collection of the same name.

In several interviews, Jessup has stated that he wants to work in film industry rather than acting, as both a producer and filmmaker. In an interview with Jessup, directing "is where my mind and heart [are] at the moment." Jessup appeared in Fragments' short film in 2014 and Boy, Jessup's short film, which he wrote and directed and funded by bravoFACT, premiered at the 2015 Toronto International Film Festival in 2014.

Jessup appeared in Filmmaker Magazine's annual list of the 25 New Faces of Independent Film in 2016. Lira's Forest, he wrote and directed, premiered at the 2017 Toronto International Film Festival. Jessup's Forest, a feature film, would extend this tale.

Jessup will produce a documentary about Thai filmmaker Apichatpong Weerasethakul for FilmStruck and The Criterion Collection in 2017. In the spring of 2018, the film was released.

30/30 Vision: Strand Releasing, a 3-Decades of Strand Releasing, a short film directed by Ira Sachs, Catherine Breillat, Athina Rachel Tsangari, Brady Corbet, Lulu Wang, and others, was released in 2019. He made his own film, Night Flight, after being inspired by Antoine de Saint-Exupéry's book.
