Collin, 19, rose to prominence with his seven siblings on the reality TV show Jon & Kate Plus 8 in TLC's most popular program, but they are far from the happy family that was once depicted on TLC's most popular show. The eight children remained living with their mother until Collin was sent to Fairmont Behavioral Health Institute in Philadelphia after Jon and his ex-wife Kate's tragic break in 2009. He was later moved to another hospital in Pittsburgh, where his father Jon spent $1 million to get him out and gained custody. Hannah Collin's sister was also won custody of by him.

Collin, 19, claims that his mother, Kate, sent him to Fairmont Behavioral Health Institute because she wanted to hide the'secrets' from her public family after Jon's divorce in 2009. When they premiered their very own reality TV show, Jon & Kate Plus 8, the former couple found success with their brood of eight, as well as sextuplets. Their fairytale fell apart with Jon being accused of cheating and Kate being given full custody of the children after raking in the viewers and a lot of money.

Both Collin and Hannah, who are 19 years old now, were thrust into the spotlight at a young age by the TLC reality show, which followed parents Kate and Jon Gosselin as they navigated raising their eight young children.
