Clint Capela Life

Clint N'Dumba Capela (born May 18, 1994) is a Swiss professional basketball player for the Houston Rockets of the National Basketball Association (NBA).

Early years

Capela was born in Geneva, Switzerland, to an Angolan father and a Congolese mother. His parents separated a few months after his child's birth, leaving his mother and his brothers by herself. He first liked soccer as a child. He was raised partially in foster care. Because he was 1.90 meters (6 ft 3 in) as a 13-year-old boy, his uncle suggested that he change sports. Capela became more involved with basketball after meeting Swiss basketball legend Thabo Sefolosha. He was 15 years old and competed with the Swiss team at the European Junior Championships, as well as in France's Chalon-sur-Saône training center, INSEP.
