Ex-NFL player Merril Hoge smuggishly blamed Taylor Swift for the team's demise: "It shows how weak and stupid people are."

www.dailymail.co.uk, December 28, 2023
Merril Hoge, an ex-NFL player, has denied allegations that Taylor Swift has anything to do with the Kansas City Chiefs' worrying drop in form. On Christmas Day, the Chiefs lost to the Raiders, igniting rumors from Undisputed Host Skip Bayless and OutKick founder Clay Travis' comments that the singer's presence at games to cheer boyfriend Travis Kelce was a distraction for the team. It's an alarming run of form for the Chiefs, who have now lost five of their last eight games, but Hoge - ironically speaking out against Travis's OutKick - denied it has anything to do with the singer.

Taylor Swift and NFL fans unite to mock Clay Travis and Skip Bayless for blaming the singer for the Chiefs losing and distracting Travis Kelce: 'Never realized T Swift was wide receiver coach!'

www.dailymail.co.uk, December 27, 2023
Fans of football and Taylor Swift's own huge fanbase have united as one to strongly deny NFL analysts' arguments that the musician is partially to blame for the Chiefs' recent woes. Travis Kelce's boyfriend and his Kansas City team have struggled to recover the form that saw them win the Super Bowl last year, with their woes compounded by a disappointing 20-14 loss to the Las Vegas Raiders on Christmas Day. The Chiefs surrendered two touchdowns in seven seconds, with the Raiders chastising on a mix-up between Isiah Pacheco and quarterback Patrick Mahomes for the first time until Jack Jones intercepted a Mahomes throw moments later.
