Chaine St. Aubin Downer Jr. (born July 6, 1993), also known as CJ Fly, is an American rapper from Brooklyn, New York City.
He is a founding member and the oldest member of the Hip-hop collective group Pro Era.

Early life
Downer Jr. was born in Brooklyn, New York, on July 6, 1993. He is the only child of a Bajan mother and Jamaican father. By the fourth grade, he started writing poetry, and by the seventh grade, he was rapping. He attended Edward R. Murrow High School for communication arts, where he met Joey Bada$$, Powers Pleasant, and Capital STEEZ. The four children's days of school will be spent in the auditorium cyphering. The four of them formed Pro Era in 2011.
Music career
Pro Era's debut mixtape "The Secc$ Tape" was released in 2012. On tracks "Hardknock" and "Don't Front," CJ Fly's debut mixtape 1999 made a big splash. He and Pro Era's second mixtape PEEP: The Aprocalypse debuted on December 21, 2012. Chuck Strangers, Kirk Knight, Statik Selektah, and others from Brandun DeShay, Thelonious Martin among others.
CJ joined The Flatbush Zombies and The Underachievers on the Beast Coastal Tour in 2013. He and the rest of Pro Era joined Wiz Khalifa's Under the Influence Tour in 2013 with A$AP Rocky, Trinidad James, Chevy Woods, Smoke DZA, and others. On the song "Sorry Bonita" produced by Oddisee, he appeared on Joey's second mixtape Summer Knights as well as the rest of Pro Era. He debuted Thee Way Eye See It, his first mixtape, on October 5, 2013. The mixtape's 2014 and 2015 Freshman List features diverse Pro Era contributors, Buckshot, Ab-Soul, Phife Dawg, and more, as well as Chuck Strangers, Statik Selektah, Brandun DeShay, and others.
CJ Fly's debut studio album named Flytrap was released on December 9, 2016, on the same date as his mother's 49th birthday. On December 8, he pressed the album out exclusively with TIDAL, and the album was also available on all streaming platforms on December 9.
