After being found guilty of murdering seven babies and trying to murder six others, the 33-year-old was sentenced to 14 whole-life sentences in August. She served on the Countess of Chester Hospital's neonatal unit, where she worked between June 2015 and June 2016. Christopher Scott, the NMC's chief, informed a fitness to practise committee that Letby faces 14 charges, which mirror her criminal convictions, at a hearing in east London on Tuesday. Letby was found guilty of seven counts of murder and attempted murder at Manchester Crown Court in August, according to Mr Scott, "it's a matter of legal certainty."

The spaces in Kent village Borough Green have been described as 'hilarious.' Vehicles of all shapes and sizes are seen straddling the white lines with just half of them parked inside. The faded much larger lines are also apparent. The lines were repainted on Monday, according to a note that free parking is available for two hours. The new lines in Tonbridge and Malling Borough Council have since acknowledged that they were 'clearly wrong,' and that parking fines would be suspended until the problem was addressed.

According to a Scottish Child Abuse Inquiry, Avril Campbell, 74, admitted asking a foster child to lick soap in order to instill fear of telling lies. However, the pensioner told Lady Smith (pictured top) that she only beat the boy with a belt four times as punishment before deciding to suspend. Between April 1976 and February 1981, Dennis Scott and her husband Dennis looked after Christopher Scott. Mr Scott had previously told the Scottish Child Abuse Inquiry into his suspected ordeal in their care, which, he said, included severe punishments, humiliation, and regular beatings. "I used to smack their hands, but I used to smack their bottoms," Mrs Campbell said. I tried the belt first when we moved to Auchterhouse because I knew they used it at school.' She has denied ever using the buckle in her retribution.
