Christoph Sanders Career

Career

When Sanders first began attending classes at the Flat Rock Playhouse, North Carolina's state theater, he fell in love with acting at the age of 9. He began with basic drama lessons before progressing to an intermediate level and eventually being accepted to join their YouTheater company and being accepted into its elite conservatory. At the age of 18, he graduated from the conservatory program. Although he appeared in more than 16 productions, including A Christmas Carol; The Lion, the Witch, and the Wardrobe; and Bye, Bye Birdie. He was 12 years old when he first began working with GM in Georgia.

He made his film debut in 2006 with a small part in Talladega Nights: The Ballad of Ricky Bobby, which was primarily shot in and around Charlotte, North Carolina. That was shortly followed by a role in the somewhat controversial film Hounddog, which was shot on a plantation near Wilmington, North Carolina. Much of the film's controversy resulted from a pivotal scene in which a teenage girl, portrayed by then-year-old actress Dakota Fanning, was raped by Sanders' character. He found the role to be challenging, but it did give him a chance to demonstrate the bread of his acting skills. Sanders denied the tense scene when he was asked about the film, saying, "This is just one part of the film." Tragedies like this happen every day in real life, and I think it's worth it if this film opens a few more eyes. Movies can have that power."

In January 2007, he moved to Los Angeles, where there will be more opportunities to pursue acting full-time. He was involved in a TV pilot within three months of being in Hollywood, but the network didn't pick up the show. He spent the next several months auditioning before gaining a role in Legally Blondes and the appearance of Ned Banks on Ghost Whisperer. When producers decided to age the character by a few years in order to investigate more mature storylines, he took over the role of Ned, which had previously been held by Tyler Patrick Jones. Sanders appeared in season three as a regular guest, but as a result of the character's success, he was a member of the regular cast.

Kyle Anderson appeared in the Last Man Standing tv show starring Tim Allen. He was initially the boyfriend of Tim Allen's eldest daughter, but the eldest daughter of the series's oldest daughter was given a more motherly role after Season 1. Sanders' character developed into the middle son's boyfriend and then husband.
