He started his career in theater at nine years old and made his film debut in 2018, in the drama film Sócrates, for which he was nominated for Best Male Lead at the Independent Spirit Awards.

In the 2018 drama film Sócrates, he made his debut as a young adult, and for which he was nominated for Best Male Lead at the 34th Independent Spirit Awards. Sócrates, a black 15-year-old boy from Santos, is the protagonist of the film, as he must combat extreme hunger, the death of his mother, and homophobia. After being unveiled on the international film festival circuit, the film received critical acclaim. It was shortlisted for Brazil's official entry for the Academy Award for Best International Feature.
Critics lauded his work in Sócrates. Frank Scheck, a writer for The Hollywood Reporter, described his appearance as "stunning."
