Christopher David Johnson (often referred to as Chris "Yonko" Johnson) is a British voice actor and television presenter.

He began presenting on the CBBC Channel in January 2010 and continued into April 2016.

Introduce Family Guy, his first television appearance was for BBC Three.

Under the username "officialCDJ" of Chris, he portrayed Dennis the Menace in the 2013 series Dennis the Menace and Gnasher. BigDamnCast is Johnson's podcast, which he co-hosts.

Early life

He attended Moorside High School in Swinton from 2002 to 2007, where he appeared in a variety of school musical productions. He then attended Pendleton College from 2007 to 2009, majoring in Performing Arts and Film Studies. Chris was involved in several productions, as well as being involved in the college's first comedy review show. In the case, the YouTube sketches were adapted as gags.

He appeared at the 'League of Locals' exhibition, a live sketch show arranged by the members of The League of Gentlemen's then-official website This Is A Local Shop in the summer of 2007.

Chris was the co-presenter of The Lewis Ryan Show on Salford City Radio from early 2008 to late 2009. He made a return to the show in August 2011, appearing most Saturdays and occasionally hosting the show himself when Lewis was out of town. In October 2013, the pair decided to concentrate more on their podcasting.

During his time at Pendleton, he made a short introduction video for BBC Three as part of their Be On TV campaign. On airing, Chris' impression of Stewie Griffin of Family Guy was enough to cause BBC Three to ask him once more in a relaunch of the campaign, this time with a video showing others how to submit their own videos. On BBC Three, the ads ran from April to August in 2009.

Chris began presenting links on the CBBC Channel in January 2010, the last of which being Shout Out with Shannon Flynn on Saturday. Hacker the Dog was a big fan of Wednesday's practice, and he's been teamed with Dodge T. Dog, Ed Petrie, or London Hughes before. Chris anchored the live mornings during school holidays and was also the voice of CBBC on BBC One and BBC Two. He also became the chief presenter of CBBC's red button service CBBC Extra as of early 2010.

In the brand new CBBC Office set, Chris was the first presenter to appear onscreen. Chris became the CBBC Channel's chief continuity host as of January 2013. Among other odd names, he is sometimes referred to by other presenters and sidekicks as 'Yonko'.

Chris has been involved in tie-in activities, such as Red Nose Day 2011 for Comic Relief, as part of the CBBC. Sam & Mark's Big Friday Wind-Up and in the fourth episode of Little Howard's Big Question with Hacker, he has appeared in the second series of All Over The Place with his former partner Ed Petrie. On July 4, 2014 Johnson revealed that he would be leaving the CBBC Office continuity links as of September 5, 2014. Chris will continue to appear as the recurring host for the Shout Out Saturday live slot on the day itself.

Johnson has appeared on the CBBC panel show The Dog Ate My Homework a number of times in two series since 2016.

Shout Out Out Saturday, Sunday, came to an end, and Chris and Shannon Flynn announced this morning that it would be their last day on the CBBC Channel continuity.

In the Dennis the Menace and Gnasher animated series, Chris Nordred presided over Dennis the Menace from Season 2 onwards, replacing Sophie Aldred. For the latest iteration of the show, the theme tune was redesigned, with Johnson providing vocals.

Dennis, also produced a new series of 'Beanotown,' for Fun Kids Radio, which was also broadcast in 2015 as Dennis. For the majority Beano tie-in games, such as IOS games, Chris is the voice of Dennis and several other characters.

Chris Williams attended many Doctor Who & The Sarah Jane Adventures promotional activities while working at CBBC. He was the obvious choice for the sketches, which included a five-part crossover with the CBBC Office and the characters from The Sarah Jane Adventures, as well as many others, including interviewing Amy Pond actor Karen Gillan for CBBC on the week of the premiere of Doctor Who. The magazine relaunched the collection in 2018 with a new staff, but no explanation was given as to why the previous incarnation was ended.

Chris, a casual gamer, launched Twitch. In 2015, he started a Twitch subscription service where he competed indie and mainstream titles for the PS4.

He collaborates often with YouTube company FiveWhoFans, appearing in their videos from time to time. He became a main cast member in August 2017.
