Cheryl Stephanie Burke (born May 3, 1984) is an American dancer, model, and television host.
She is best known for her appearances on ABC's Dancing with the Stars, where she became the first female professional to win the competition and the first professional to win twice and consecutively.
So far, she has appeared in 21 seasons.
On the NBC show "I Can Do That," she came in second place.

Early life
Burke was born and raised in San Francisco, California. Burke attended Menlo-Atherton High School.
Personal life
Dancing Lessons, Burke's autobiography, was published in 2011. It includes a description of how she was abused by a handyman who was helping her family and who affectionally fondled her. Gerry Depaula later identified her sister as being abused by the same man who was later identified as Gerry Depaula. She thought it was wrong but she wanted to keep his affection. Burke testified against Depaula at the age of 6, resulting in the molester's sentence to 24 years in jail for the first time in 2008. Burke expressed worry about Depaula.
Burke has worked on several campaigns outside of Dancing with the Stars, including Depend Depend Depend Silhouette briefs, Impress Nails, and Sargento Cheese. Dependance's contribution to Dress for Success has raised a lot of money, including $50,000. In April 2008, she opened her first dance studio and launched her own line of activewear the next year.
Burke was dating Matthew Lawrence when he was first announced in People and Us Weekly in 2017. Both the two brothers appeared on DWTS in 2006, when Lawrence's brother, Joey, was on DWTS for the first time. Burke and Lawrence used to date from 2007 to 2008. Lawrence proposed to Burke on May 3, 2018, her 34th birthday. Lawrence was married in San Diego, California, on May 23, 2019.
