Early life
Healey was born in Salford, Greater Manchester. Her father was mixed race, and her mother is a white British citizen. Healey's father died when she was five years old.
Personal life
Healey lived on-off with boyfriend Jack Malloy from 2016 to 2018. Healey revealed in February 2017 that she was pregnant with her first child. She gave birth to their daughter in August 2017.
Career
In 2003, Healey's television debut was in the role of Katie Moore in BBC Three's recurring drama Burn It. Healey appeared in four series of the BBC One school-based drama series Waterloo Road between 2006 and 2009 before he departed in May 2009. Healey returned to the role as the new school secretary after a lengthy break from the show in September 2010 as the sixth series's new school secretary, and continued to appear throughout the entire seventh series. Healey, the actress who migrated to Greenock, Scotland, for the eighth series, has confirmed that she would continue to perform her role. In August 2012, Healey appeared in series eight.
Healey has made guest appearances in Conviction; the sitcom Two Pints of Lager and a Packet of Crisps; and the daytime medical soap opera Doctors, all from the BBC; and Channel 4's teen soap opera Hollyoaks. She appeared in Two Pints as a member of the 'Chavettes,' which Louise had to attend for her community service; in Hollyoaks, she played Michelle as the guest.
