Charlotte Mary Hawkins (born 16 May 1975) is an English television and radio presenter, a newsreader, and journalist currently employed by ITV and Classic FM. Hawkins debuted on television in 2003 as co-presenter of Sky's breakfast show Sunrise with Eamonn Holmes.
In 2014, she left Sky to co-present the ITV Breakfast show Good Morning Britain.
Classic FM's Sunday afternoon show also features her. She was a contestant in the fifteenth season of Strictly Come Dancing, but she was disqualified in the fourth week.
Early life
Hawkins was born in Chichester, West Sussex, on May 16th. She earned a BA in English Literature from the Bishop Luffa School in Chichester and the University of Manchester. From the London College of Printing, she later earned a Postgraduate Diploma in Broadcast Journalism.
Personal life
On August 23, 1988, Hawkins married Mark Herbert, her partner of five years. The ceremony took place in Chichester Cathedral, where Hawkins' father was a clergyman. It was directed by her uncle, Rt. Richard Hawkins. Hawkins revealed on Good Morning Britain that the couple was expecting their first child on August 12, 2014. Ella Rose, a baby girl born on February 8, 2015.
Hawkins lives in Surrey. She spends a large amount of her time outdoors and loves horse riding, cycling, and sailing.
Hawkins supports many charities, including the Motor Neurone Disease Association, of which she is a member. She is a patron of Ellenor Hospice and a spokesperson for Cancer Research UK Kids and Teens.

Career
Hawkins began her broadcasting career with ITN in 1999 as a newsreader and reporter for LBC Radio. She was one of the first journalists to survive the fatal Paddington rail accident, as well as live reports from the scene. She migrated to ITV Meridian in the South East of England in January 2000, where she co-presented the hour-long current affairs program The Big Story.
Hawkins appeared on ITV Meridian as co-anchor of Meridian Tonight's main news show Meridian Tonight from October 2003 to September. She has also appeared on the ITV News Channel. She unveiled many pan-regional documentaries at Meridian, including the half-hour special Britain on the Move. In 2007, Hawkins co-presented The London Boat Show on ITV.
Hawkins left Meridian in December 2006 to join Sky News in January 2007, where she and Eamonn Holmes welcomed Sunrise each Monday. She left the channel in March 2014.
