Life and career

Rowe was born in Islington, London, and grew up with a sister in Crouch End. He attended St Michael's Primary School in Highgate. Sara Rowe, his mother, is a drama teacher, and Chris Rowe, his father, is an actor and writer.

He got his start with the 2007 fantasy adventure film The Golden Compass and went on to make films throughout his youth, including SyFy's Neverland. Claire Price, a British actress known from the drama television series Rebus, is his aunt.

Rowe was one of the front runners for Captain America's Civil War alongside Asa Butterfield, Charlie Plummer, and Tom Holland, but the actor, Butterfield, and Plummer ultimately lost to Holland who had never seen the film.

Rowe, based in Haringey, is a theatre scholar, English literature, film, and photography.
