Charles Fleischer (born August 27, 1950) is an American stand-up comedian, writer, and singer best known for roles in films including A Nightmare on Elm Street, Who Framed Roger Rabbit, The Polar Express, Rango, and We're Back! A Dinosaur's Novel.
In the Roger Rabbit dramatic shorts, he also reprised the role of Roger Rabbit.

Fleischer was born in Washington, D.C., on August 27, 1950. He studied medicine at Southampton College and then Long Island University before going on to study acting at the Art Institute of Chicago (now DePaul University).

Career
In Who Framed Roger Rabbit, Benny the Cab, Greasy, and Psycho, Fleischer is best known as the voices of Roger Rabbit, Benny the Cab, Greasy, and Psycho. In three sequels following the film's success, he continued to act Roger in several Disney television and theme park appearances in many of the Walt Disney Parks and Resorts, as well as in three sequels. The Polar Express and We're Back! Fleischer's other voice roles include The Polar Express and We're Back! A Dinosaur's Tale. Back to the Future Part II and Gridlock'd are two of the few notable on-screen roles.
Fleischer appeared on the ABC show Welcome Back, Kotter as Carvelli, and on the Disney cartoon series House of Mouse as Benny the Cab's voice. Fleischer appeared on "Rowan and Martin's Laugh-In" for the first time on January 15, 1973, where he performed his handmade musical instruments made from lead pipe and shower wands. On May 15, 1974, he appeared on The Tonight Show Starring Johnny Carson. He was also a regular on Keep on Truckin'. He appeared in The Weird Al Show as a guy in a band for a short period of time. He appeared on the short-lived Saturday morning program Wacko.
Fleischer is the source of the phrase "If you recall the '60s, you weren't there." Fleischer is the person who wrote it.
On Roger Waters' 1992 album Amused to Death, he played the role of a televangelist on "What God Wants, Part II."
