Casandra Elizabeth Ventura Fine (born August 26, 1986), also known as Cassie, is an American singer, songwriter, model, actress, and dancer.
She began her career in New London, Connecticut, as a result of meeting record producer Ryan Leslie's demise in late 2004, who later sold her to NextSelection Lifestyle Group.

Cassie was seen at clubs and parties in late 2004 often by Ryan Leslie. Leslie played the song for music executive Tommy Mottola after recording the track.
