Career
According to a news magazine, Radziwill began her news career with ABC in New York in 1985 as an intern in postproduction for 20/20. She was later named Production Secretary to Close Up. Radziwill spent time with Peter Jennings' documentary group, which produced shows on abortion and firearms control, as well as reporting international policy news in Cambodia, Haiti, and India.
Radziwill was stationed in Iraq in 1991 and briefed on the SCUD missile attacks during the Gulf War. She spent six weeks in Kandahar, embedded with an infantry unit of the 101st Airborne Division, during the war in Afghanistan. Profiles from the Frontline, an ABC-TV program, was produced by her. Radziwill has received many awards, including three Emmys, one for a story she wrote about land mines in Cambodia, a Peabody, and a GLAAD award.
Radziwill left ABC News to write a book about her personal life, her work at ABC News, and her attempts to handle her husband's cancer. What Remains: A Memoir of Fate, Friendship, and Love (Scribner, 2005) made the New York Times Best Seller List. A review of the book in the New York Times called it a "bittersweet account" that stressed "graciousness over disclosure" rather than reveal "graciousness over reveal."
Radziwill has joined Glamour magazine to contribute to The Lunch Date, a monthly column. Former New York City mayor Rudy Giuliani as well as Hollywood actress Antonio Banderas, Rachel Weisz, and Alec Baldwin were among her lunch dates.
