Carol Thatcher Life

Carol Jane Thatcher (born 15 August 1953) is an English journalist, author, and media presenter.

Margaret Thatcher, the British prime minister from 1979 to 1990, as well as Denis Thatcher, Margaret Thatcher.

She has written biographies of both her parents and a documentary about her father, which also included his only public interview.

She won the fifth season of The reality show I'm a Celebrity...Get Me Out of Here!

Early life

Thatcher was born in Hammersmith, London, on August 15, 1953. By C-section, she and her twin brother, Mark, were born six weeks early. "My God, they look like rabbits," Denis Thatcher's husband responded to their children for the first time by saying, "They look like rabbits." They should be returned. In 1958, Thatcher's mother was selected for the constituency of Finchley in north London and elected as a Member of Parliament.

Thatcher was sent to Queenswood School, a girls'boarding school near Hatfield, Hertfordshire, before moving to St Paul's Girls' School in 1960. She earned a law degree from University College London before heading to Australia in 1977 to start a journalism career. Although she was there, her mother was elected prime minister. "You need a lot of shock absorbers and a sense of humour to be the prime minister's child," Thatcher later said.

Personal life

Thatcher had a friendship with Jonathan Aitken, which ended in 1979. Aitken's split with Thatcher is reported to have been the catalyst for his decision against a ministerial career; thatcher's mother, who was at the time, told cabinet colleagues that she would not give a job to a man "who had made Carol cry."

In Klosters-Serneus, Switzerland, Thatcher works with ski instructor Marco Grass.

Journalism career

Thatcher began her work as a journalist in Australia, reporting on the Sydney Morning Herald from 1977 to 1979. Diary of an Election (with Margaret Thatcher on the campaign trail) was her first book, and it was published in 1983. Lloyd on Lloyd, her second book, which was a joint effort with tennis player Chris Evert Lloyd, was published three years ago. It was Thatcher's first best-seller.

Below the A 1996 best-selling biography of her father was published in a later edition. Thatcher made Married to Maggie, a Channel 4 documentary about him in 2003. EDEN CONFIDENTIAL: At last! Carol Thatcher married Marco Grass, the Swiss skiing instructor she encountered in 1992 in Las Vegas, is a snowboard instructor

www.dailymail.co.uk, October 26, 2023
EDEN CONFIDENTIAL: Carol has married in Las Vegas, demonstrating a natural talent for pulling off a surprise that would have undoubtedly have shocked her mother. Marco Grass, the mop-haired Swiss skiing instructor Carol encountered in 1992, is her husband. Marco is the man women have long wished she'd married while still fearing she'd never get her big day. Carol has obviously voiced her doubts. On one of the few occasions she spoke publicly about Marco, she said: "I'm sure he'll vanish into the distance with someone younger and prettier." It was a rather touching prediction made by someone who spent his youth with Jonathan Aitken, then a rising star in the Tory Party, that ended in heartache when he turned his attention elsewhere. According to Margaret's mother, he was the man 'who made Carol cry.'
