Convertion has been a professional for eighteen years and took less than a minute to sue Nick Roscorta on his first visit to Juárez, Mexico, on September 6, 2002. He also won his next four fights in the first round, with only one of them going over the one-minute mark before falling for the first time, but not under the firearms laws. After being knocked down three times in the fifth and final round, he met with ninety-five combat veteran and Shoot Boxing World Tournament 2002 champion Andy Souwer in Tokyo, Japan, losing by technical foulout due to leg kicks with seventeen seconds left of the match.
Convicts in MMA, Condit continued his strong form in the sport with three more first-round stoppage victories to go 8–0 before being banned with a Carlo Prater triangle choke inside the first round in Albuquerque on September 11, 2004. He recovered from his defeat with a four-fight win streak and returned to Japan to fight in Pancrase, losing by a first-round heel hook knock at Pancrase on October 2, 2005. After this, he served in the Hawaii-based Rumble on the Rock and stunned Ross Ebaez via TKO in his first promotional appearance before going on to compete in the ROTR Worlderweight Championships. At UFC 120 on October 16, 2010, Condit faced Dan Hardy. Condit connected with a strong left hook during an exchange that ended Hardy. Construct then delivered two punches to Hardy on the ground before the referee called the match to a halt at 4:27 of the first round. Condit became the first and to date only man to defeat Hardy by KO, earning him Knockout of the Night awards.
At UFC 127, Confederation was supposed to face Chris Lytle on February 27, 2011. However, Confederation Newcomer Brian Ebersole was forced from the match after suffering a knee injury while training, and he was eventually forced to withdraw from the sport.
At UFC 132, Condit defeated Dong Hyun Kim on July 2, 2011. Condit defeated the opposition by a first round knockout (flying knee and punches), earning Knockout of the Night distinctions. Kim lost his first MMA fight in this series.
Confederit was supposed to face B.J. Penn appeared on UFC 137 on October 29, 2011. However, UFC president Dana White announced at the UFC 137 press conference that Condit will no longer face Penn and instead replace Nick Diaz, who had failed to turn up for any event-related press appearances, and face Georges St-Pierre for the UFC Welterweight Championship at UFC 137. It was announced on October 18, 2011, that St. Pierre had withdrawn from the fight due to a knee injury. Conradit decided not to compete against a replacement fighter at UFC 137 after consulting with his boss and UFC officials, but St. Pierre in early 2012. However, after Diaz beat Penn at UFC 137, officials decided to have St. Pierre wrestle Diaz at UFC 143.
Condit was supposed to face Josh Koscheck at UFC 143 on February 4, 2012. However, Condit met Diaz at the tournament despite the winner receiving an interim UFC Welterweight Championship due to a knee injury sustained by St. Pierre. On November 17, 2012, Condit met Georges St-Pierre at UFC 154. On March 16, 2013, Conan was scheduled to face Rory MacDonald in a rematch at UFC 158. MacDonald however, was forced to withdraw from the match due to an injury, and Johny Hendricks was brought on to replace him. Although Connell was able to beat Hendricks for the majority of the fight, Hendricks was able to score multiple takedowns in each round, giving Hendricks a unanimous decision win. Both participants were given Fight of the Night awards for their efforts.
On August 28, 2013, Condit faced Martin Kampmann in a rematch at UFC Fight Night 27. Conveniently losing his first round and seeing Kampmann control the match by his wrestling, Connit was able to obtain the TKO in the fourth round through a series of punches and knees, despite his previous loss. Condit's third straight (and fourth overall) Fight of the Night bonus award was also given to the contest.
On December 14, 2013, Concilion will meet Matt Brown at UFC on Fox 9. Brown, on the other hand, pulled out of the contest due to a back injury. Condit was also taken off the card as a result.
In the co-main event at UFC 171, Conconn defeated Tyron Woodley. Woodley took down Constance's right knee on round two of round two. The referee continued to fight for inactivity, and Condit took his left knee when Woodley stepped away from his left knee, causing him to collapse in agony and the referee to award Woodley a TKO. Concetta was diagnosed with a torn ACL and partially torn meniscus, which would necessitate surgery.
Connitit returned to fight Thiago Alves in the main event at UFC Fight Night 67 after more than a year out from the sport due to his knee injury. Contessit was a success in his return, winning the tournament via TKO after the cage-side doctor ended the game between the second and third round due to the amount of damage Alves suffered.
On November 15, 2015, Confederation was supposed to meet Robbie Lawler, the reigning champion of UFC 193. However, the match was postponed after Lawler sustained a thumb injury. On January 2, 2016, the brawl took place as the headliner at UFC 195. Conceit lost by a split vote. Of the 54 strikes he threw to Lawler's respective 78 of 177, Conceit landed 198 of 177. As Condit dropped Lawler in the first round and Lawler floored Condit in the second round, each fighter was credited with one knockdown during the match. The contest was decided in favour of Connoisseurship by 15 of 20 media outlets, with 2 of 20 of 20 scoring a draw and only 3 of 20 scoring in favour of Lawler. Despite the participants' tumultuous loss, all participants were given a Fight of the Night bonus award.
Constance returned to the cage eight months later to face Demian Maia in the main event of UFC on Fox 21 on August 27, 2016. In the first round, he lost by submission.
Condit returned to the UFC after a 16-month layoff and met Neil Magny on December 30, 2017 at UFC 219. He lost the fight by a unanimous vote.
