Career

Brainard, a voice artist, is best known as the Disney Channel's chief announcer from July 2001 to 2016. He first gained notoriety as the "smart aleck" narrator with a cult-following on the syndicated television show Maximum Exposure, also known as "Max X" which aired for two seasons from 2000 to 2002. Brainard, a sports announcer, hosted "This Week In Baseball" on FOX from 2000 to 2011 (taking over for late Mel Allen) from 2000 to 2011. In addition, he narrated Breed All About It for Animal Planet and was the promoter for the TV show Friends in syndication.

Brainard, as well as several television and radio advertisements, is the voice of television's "World Access" on the Travel Channel. Audiences are also heard on more than 500 radio stations in the United States and Canada, and growing. His songs range from AC to Hot AC, Christian Radio, to Country, and Rock to Adult Hits.

Since 2017, he has been the announcer for the rhythm game StepManiaX.

He is also the announcer for the Laff TV network.

As the weekday afternoon host of SiriusXM radio's latest country channel 56 based in Nashville, Brainard has one of the largest daily audiences of any country music radio personality in North America. Sirius XM had 27 million subscribers as of Winter 2014. Brainard is a nominee for National Broadcast Personality of the Year (Country Music Association) in 2018.
