Bryce Owen Johnson (born April 18, 1977) is an American actor.
Early life
Johnson born in Reno, Nevada. He has an older brother, Brendon, and a younger brother, Brett. He moved to Denver, Colorado, at the age of five. He graduated from high school in 1995. Afterwards, the family relocated to Sioux City, Iowa, where Bryce attended acting classes at the local community college before deciding to embark on his acting career.
Career
After his mother told him not to join the Navy, he headed to Hollywood at 19 years old. He looked for auditions and joined the American Academy of Dramatic Arts in Pasadena, California. He was struggling odd jobs to pay the bills. He was barely working before his break in 1999, when he was cast as Josh Ford in The WB's Popular. He appeared on MTV's Undressed in 1999, and that year he was also involved in the cast. Since the show ended in 2001, he continued to work on Dawson's Creek, Gilmore Girls, and other teen shows.
By the time he hit his mid-20s, he wanted to step into more mature and challenging roles, trying to avoid being stuck in the teen genre. In 2004, he appeared in two films, Home of Phobia, and the Harry + Max. He returned to television in 2003 in an unaired series called Still Life, and he appeared on What I Like About You, Nip/Tuck, and House while doing voice-over work for video games. He appeared in Sleeping Dogs Lie in 2006, which was also shown at the Sundance Film Festival.
Drew Thatcher is a fictional character on Lone Star, and he also appeared on Pretty Little Liars as Detective Darren Wilden. In 2011, Johnson appeared in MTV's Death Valley as UTF police officer Billy Pierce. He appeared on Chad in the dark romantic comedy Hit List in the same year.
