Personal life

Garrett has two sisters and five brothers. Kenny Garrett, a second-generation professional wrestler, and her father Kenny Garrett has appeared on "TNT" Kenny Garrett has said: "My dad taught me a lot about the industry." He wrestled in St. Louis and other states, and I knew I wanted to become a wrestler as well. She formerly lived in St. Louis, but in 2010, she moved to Ocala, Florida. She migrated to Orlando, Florida, a few years after. Sable, Victoria, and Trish Stratus are her favorite wrestlers.

Garrett is married to Jeremy Avner, a nutrition consultant based in Lake Mary, Florida.

Professional wrestling career

Garrett began her wrestling career in Bruno Sassi's South Florida Coastal Championship Wrestling, where she defeated Kimberly to win the CCW Ladies Championship in her debut match. On December 12, Garrett met Betsy Ruth, Isis The Amazon, and Jessika Haze in a Fatal Four-way match, where she retained the Ladies Championship. Garrett took the Ladies title against Haze on February 13 and May 15, where she triumphed both times. Garrett defeated Lucky O'Shea and Maxwell Chicago on April 3, a teamwork effort by Nooie Lee. Garrett and Nooie Lee defeated Becky Bayless and Mister Saint Laurent on May 8. Garrett defeated Bayless and Saint Laurent on June 12, working with Sean Waltman.

Santana Garrett defeated Rosie Lottalove on June 19 to successfully defend the title by disqualification. Garrett and Nooie Lee defeated Cherry Layne and Mike Reed on July 24, respectively. Garrett and Leva Bates team up in a winning effort over Haze and Lottalove's team on August 21. Garrett defeated Haze on August 28, where she emerged victorious. Garrett and JD Amazing team up for a grand fight over Jason Hanley and Shooter Storm in a mixed tag team match on October 2, 2011. Garrett faced Calypso in a non-title match on October 16, where she came victorious. In a rematch, Garrett and Amazing lost to Luke James and Rich James on October 30, 2010. Garrett dropped the Ladies title to Haze on December 4 in a triple-thoat match involving Calypso. Garrett teamed up with Pablo Marquez in a winning effort over Haze and Harry Venis after Santana pinned Haze on March 26, giving them a chance to compete. Garrett fought Jessicka Havok in CCW on April 3, but he was unsuccessful in winning the title. Garrett won another shot at the championship after defeating Black Tigress, Danny Demanto, and Christina Von Eerie. Garrett won the Ladies Championship for the second time on May 21, defeating Havok to win the Ladies Championship. Garrett defeated Von Eerie on June 11 and January 7, Aiden Altair on July 16, Jaime D. Jelena on August 20 and Wayne Van Dyke on November 19. Garrett's Ladies Crown was renamed to Havok on May 27.

Garrett vs. Bates for the Ladies Championship on February 11, but she was disqualified from winning the competition. Garrett defeated Von Eerie in a singles match on March 3, where Garrett emerged victorious. Garrett defeated Rain in a singles match on May 5 in a singles match.

Santana Garrett, formerly Santana G, appeared in IWA Mid-South on March 26, where she defeated Jessika Haze in a winning effort. Garrett debuted in World League Wrestling on April 23, where she joined Eathon Wright and Ryan Drago in a Mixed tag-team match to face Amy Hennig, Mark Sterling, and Superstar Steve, where the team emerged victorious after Garrett pinned Hennig. Garrett qualified Hennig for the WWL Ladies championship on the following day and was disqualified, allowing Hennig to keep Hennig. Garrett lost a second match by pinfall three months later on July 17.

Santana made her Pro Wrestling Xtreme debut on June 18, 2011 at the PWX Wrestle war, where she was defeated by former WWE Diva Jillian Hall in her return match. Garrett defeated Christina Von Eerie at Pro Wrestling Xtreme on January 28, where she failed to win.

Garrett made her Pro Wrestling debut on July 30, defeating Chasyn Rance. Garrett defeated Wayne Van Dyke in a singles match on August 27, where Garrett emerged victorious. Garrett defeated Rance in a rematch on September 2nd. Garrett defeated Cherry Layne and Mike Reed in a mixed tag-team match on October 14, combining Garrett with Rance.

Garrett made her Southern Championship Wrestling Florida debut on June 4, where she defeated The DTW Ninja in a slew of battles. Garrett met Leva Bates in the SCW Women's Championship on July 21, where she triumphantly defeated Bates to win the SCW Women's title. Garrett defeated Chasyn Rance to become the first Female to win the Florida Cruiserweight Championship, defeating them in a Southern Championship Wrestling Florida tournament.

Garrett made her Shimmer Women Athletes debut on September 27, 2012, where she defeated Mercedes Martinez in a losing effort. Garrett was defeated by Melanie Cruise in a singles match at Volume 51. Garrett defeated Miss Natural on April 14 at Volume 54, where she emerged victorious. Garrett teamed up with Heidi Lovelace in a losing battle against Jessicka Havoca and Sassy Stephie in the following volume. Garrett debated Rhia O'Reilly on the 57 volume of Shimmer, where she emerged victorious via pinfall after Garrett pinned Reilly after a Shining Star Press.

Garrett was given a tryout in Ohio Valley Wrestling's three-time OVW Women's Champion "The Queen of OVW" Taeler Hendrix, which she failed to win in 2013.

Garrett made her debut for Absolute Intense Wrestling at the Girls Night Out 9 event on October 6, losing to Jenny Rose and Kimber Lee the following night in the Girls Night Out 10 event.

In 2013, Garrett joined David McLane's Women of Wrestling in a promotion.

She debuted at WOW!

Pandemonium Tour 2013 was a successful tour. She and Amber O'Neal joined forces to form a tag team, winning the WOW Tag Team Championship.

Garrett defeated Barbi Hayden to win the NWA World Women's Championship on February 7, 2015. Garrett defeated La Rosa Negra in the Ring Warriors Battling Bombshells Championship on March 28, 2015. Garrett made his Queens of Combat debut on June 13, 2015, defeating Mandy Leon in the first round of the Queens of Combat Title Tournament. In the second round, she defeated Su Yung. Garrett lost the NWA World Women's Championship to Amber Gallows on December 18, 2015.

Garrett would appear in Global Force Wrestling in June 2015. In a winning bid against Melanie Cruise, she debuted for the organization in Appleton, Wisconsin, on July 9 in a triumphant attempt against Melanie Cruise.

On the 2010 edition of Impact!, Santana made her debut for Total Nonstop Action Wrestling (TNA), as well as the re-debuting Orlando Jordan, where she debuted a new look and took a bisexual perspective. Garrett and Jordan debuted their latest interview segment, O-Zone, on May 3rd of Impact!, in which Orlando assaulted and started a feud with the Global Champion Rob Terry.

Santana made her debut for the new women's wrestling competition Shine Wrestling in Ybor City, Florida, where she defeated Tina San Antonio in a thrilling contest. Garrett was defeated by Rain on August 17 during a Shine 2 contest. Garrett competed in singles competition against Sienna Duvall at the Shine 3 event on September 21, where Garrett emerged victorious. On the October 19 Shine 4 case, Garrett met Mercedes Martinez in a losing proposition. Garrett defeated OVW wrestlers Jessie Belle, Nikki St. John, Sojourner Bolt, and Shine wrestler Leah Von Dutch in singles matches over the next two Shine tournaments. Garrett qualified in the Shine Championship tournament, defeating Kimberly in the Tournament Qualifier. Garrett met Brandi Wine at the Shine 12 event on August 25, which resulted in a draw due to Malia Hosaka's interference. Garrett joined Amber O'Neal in a win over Brandi Wine and Malia Hosaka when Santana pinned Wine in a thrilling match. Garrett and O'Neal performed The S-N-S Express on September 28 (Jessie Belle Smothers and Sassy Stephie), but they were disqualified after Stephie pinned O'Neal after a Kiss My Sass. Santana and Amber O'Neal lost to the S-N-S Express on December 13th, and the pre-match clause was compelled to disband.

Garrett returned to Shine Wrestling at the Shine 23 event on December 5, 2014, confronting her nemesvolious former tag team rival Amber O'Neal after another stint in TNA. Garrett defeated O'Neal in a singles match later in the evening. Mia Yim was unsuccessfully disqualified by Mia Yim at the Shine 24 tournament. Garrett defeated Yim at Shine 26 in a title versus nation title match on April 3, 2015, winning the Shine Championship. Taylor Made won the title on December 11, but she lost it to Taylor Made.

Garrett returned to SHINE 69 on October 24, 2021, defeating Kaci Lennox in a Teacher vs. Student match.

Garrett returned to TNA at Knockout Knockdown, where she appeared as a villainess against Brooke Tessmacher in a losing battle. Garrett has signed a TNA deal on January 27, 2014, which was later revealed by PWInsider on February 14. Garrett would use the ring name Brittany in mid-March during an interview with Impact Wrestling.

On the 3rd episode of Impact Wrestling, Brittany made her in-ring debut as a protagonist, defeating Gail Kim after a miscommunication between Kim and her enforcer Lei'D Tapa. TNA Knockouts champion Madison Rayne's biggest fan, Brittany, under the gymick of TNA Knockouts Champion Madison Rayne. The two people were caught on camera in a tag team match against The Beautiful People (Angelina Love and Velvet Sky). Brittany competed in a close four-way match on April 10 to determine the next top contender to Rayne's TNA Women's Knockout Championship, which would be won by Angelina Love. On the May 8 episode of Impact Wrestling, Brittany and Rayne once more competed against The Beautiful People, this time in a tag team elimination evening gown match. The Beautiful People won. Brittany was first to face Angelina Love in the TNA Women's Knockout Championship on May 22 but was disqualified from winning the title. The Beautiful People will be tasked with attacking Brittany after the match, with Gail Kim making the save.

On the May 29 episode of Impact Wrestling, The Beautiful People defeated Kim and Brittany, resulting in a tag team match. The storyline between Brittany and Madison developed into a lesbian romance after the match, with Brittany enamoring Rayne making her feel uncomfortable. On the June 5 episode of Impact Wrestling, Brittany appeared during Rayne's rematch for the TNA Women's Knockout Championship against Love, which Rayne will lose due to a distraction provided by Sky, and Brittany was standing around. Brittany turned heel after threatening Rayne and promising to murder her on July 3's episode of Impact Wrestling. The nefarious Brittany has been back in action for the Knockouts Championship in a four-way match on Monday, losing to defending champion Gail Kim. On the July 17 episode of Impact Wrestling, which was won by Rayne, the feud between Brittany and Rayne erupted in a no count-out, no disqualification match, extending her losing streak since her debut match.

Brittany was taken to a storyline with Samuel Shaw in mid-September, where she began showing signs of affection toward Shaw, similar to that Shaw had previously shown to Christy Hemme. Shaw eventually turned heel against Gunner and allied himself with Brittany, which resulted in him turning backward and aligning himself with Brittany. Garrett announced on December 5 that she was no longer under TNA control.

During Garrett's first American tour in Covina, California, on October 16, 2015, she made her debut for Japanese promotion World Wonder Ring Stardom. In a tag team match against Hudson Envy and Thunder Rosa, she teamed with Melina. Garrett and Hiroyo Matsumoto defeated Goddess of Stardom Champions Io Shirai and Mayu Iwatani in a non-title match on October 25, making her Japanese debut for Stardom. Garrett and Matsumoto competed in the 2015 Goddesses of Stardom Tag Tournament, where they advanced to the finals before losing to Shirai and Iwatani in a match that was also fought for the Goddess of Stardom Championships. Garrett defended the NWA World Women's Championship against Holidead on November 15, the first time in 36 years that the title had been defended in Japan. Garrett defeated Io Shirai in a double title match on November 23 to keep the NWA World Women's Championship and win the Wonder of Stardom Championship. Garrett lost the title to Kairi Hojo on May 15, 2016, after nine good defenses. Garrett was defeated by Toni Storm in the semifinals on May 21 in a tournament to crown the inaugural SWA World Champion.

Garnet found some success on Women of Wrestling (WOW), with Amber O'Neal and Amber O'Neal. The All American Girls won the WOW Tag Team Championship from Caged Heat (Delta Lotta Pain and Loca). However, Caged Heat's counsel Sophia Lopez was able to convince WWA (Women Wrestling Association) that they should forfeit the All American Girls' championship, which they did. In the first round of the vacated WOW Tag Team Championship, the All American Girls faced Caged Heat, causing them to clash. Garrett was later attacked by Razor and Spike, and medically escorted. Garrett won the championship for the first time on her return to the season finale, defeating her former coworker O'Neal and the WOW World Champion Jungle Grrrl.

Garrett and Tessa Blanchard became a bitter rivalry on AXS TV, which aired on early 2019. Garrett defeated Blanchard and Jungle Grrrl to a no contest in their respective climax, and therefore, Garrett was barred from the competition.

Santana made appearances for Impact Wrestling in an early season, before losing to Rosemary on tape delay and then knocking Knockout Knockout defeating Brandi Rhodes on March 2, 2017.

Garrett had a tryout in WWE's growing territory NXT on September 13, 2013 tapings, which aired on tape delay on October 9, where she met Charlotte and Bayley in a losing effort. Garrett made three appearances on NXT in 2016, losing to Asuka, Emma, and Billie Kay, despite not being signed to WWE. Garrett was reinstated from the tournament in the first round by Piper Niven on July 13, 2017. She appeared on the NXT Women's Championship, the NXT Women's Championship, which was won by Nikki Cross on October 26, 2017. WarGames. Garrett was defeated by Dakota Kai on the NXT's July 4, 2018.

Garrett won the NXT episode on June 3, 2020, snapping Aliyah, snaping her losing streak. Santana was squashed by Mercedes Martinez' return to NXT's July 1, 2020 episode, who no-sold her offense. Garrett debuted at number 12 in the 2021 Women's Royal Rumble. Ripley was eliminated, and she lasted 4 minutes and 31 seconds. Santana Garrett made her AEW debut against Diamante on AEW Dark in a losing match against Diamante. On the Buy-In special for AEW Rampage, Garrett faced Tay Conti in a losing proposition. This was a rematch from Conti's days in NXT, where Conti had earlier defeated Garrett. Garrett was back to AEW Dark for another loss, this time being crushed by The Bunny. Jade Cargill defeated her on November 12, 2021, the AEW Rampage episode.
